Get to pick up my fenders from the Linex place in a week. Drop the grille, brushguard, and Thor v2 bumper off next and see how that all looks together then maybe do the hood and vents too.

Nice! I am thinking about getting my hood Line-Xed too. Reason I want to do this so I can stand on my hood. I know I can stand on it now, but I always feel like I am about to break/bend it. This would be pretty useful when I get stuck in 3-4ft of mud/water and I can just climb out the sunroof and onto the hood to throw somebody my winch hook lol instead of getting my shoes/pants soaked.

It's kind of like a skin disease, starts on your fenders gets all over your bumper starts creeping its way onto the hood. When the hood is done I am pretty sure ocd will kick in and I will wind up doing the cab, doors, and box either a dark gray or an od green after I save up the 5k to have ti done.

In 95 degree Phoenix of all places to have the AC blower go bad. Started the 3 up today and cranked the AC to max and 5 seconds later dead. Blower fuse is good, AC compressor kicks on, and had the recall issue fixed a year ago.

Has anyone had a repeat failure of the blower resistor after a recall fix?

Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Yes I have. Not sure if everyone has had this exact problem because I have never bothered to look into it, but basically my number 4 (MAX) Setting on my blower stopped working on my 2006 H3. When you selected this setting, it would turn off the blower and make a clicking noise. Blowing settings 1-3 still worked. Took it to the stealership and they attempted to fix the problem. 2 Hours Later come back, try out the blower, it worked on 4 (Max) for a couple seconds and then click... Same problem again. Recall fix didn't do jack. I informed one of the dealer reps and they were said "Oh that was supposed to fix the problem." Still have the problem today... When I got my 2008 Alpha same crap... I am not even gonna bother.

I get you! I think I want to go with this look that I have been playing around with:
Black - Line X
White - Matte Vinyl Wrap

Well in case I want to switch it back to grey. Also it is cheaper! Pretty sure colored line X is expensive.

Definitely easier to switch back [emoji6] here the price difference was negligible when I looked at having my old WJ done. Within $100

Colored Line x isn't much more, about 6k total if I want to do the whole truck but that will include doing it properly. Pull the bed, do the jambs, and I would pull everything that can possibly come off, plastics, weatherstrips, glass. I don't know why people spend all that money just to do a crap job and spray lining all over everything

Follow up to my metal-sounding rattle at 1500 RPM, found a broken clamp on the exhaust heat shield under the driver's side. Looks like it had rusted away and was vibrating against the exhaust.

A new hose clamp from the hardware store and no more rattle sound.

When I bought my truck it had this problem too. The previous owner put a coat hanger to hold it up lol.

How extra did that cost?

It wasn't free that's for sure. It was another $200. I had planned on doing it myself but really wanted the warranty intact, so I semi-jokingly posted in the invoice comments when I paid, to paint it black. They responded in email that they would be willing to do it. It also delayed time between order and shipment. Ordered on 2/14, Confirmed about paint on 2/15. Shipped on 4/4 and received 4/9 (54 days total) Though I must say communication with Headlight Revolution was great the entire duration. They also said this on 3/26:

"I want to give you an update on your order. We were able to get to your lights and make a little bit of progress on them. Unfortunately, they were impossible to open without cutting the lenses off. So, the edge of the lens will look cut and siliconed back together. That was the only way to get your lights apart to make them black. But you will not be able to see this part at all once the light is installed in the Hummer.

Did you want these lights painted Gloss, Satin or Matte black?"

I was fine with this and on inspection I still stand by that. Headlight Revolution also stated:

"They did indeed take a lot of extra effort over a normal retrofit. You got a steal deal man if we ever do this again it's going to cost quite a bit more for labor. I also think they look great and they turned out pretty good, you’ll have to send me a picture once you get them installed. Excited to see what it looks like!
Thanks"

How's that for a long winded answer :)

Last week I replaced my shocks, changed the oil and air filter. Then I noticed that the HVAC wasn't blowing any air on external, but it worked fine in recirculation. After removing the dash and heater module I found that mice what built a nest in the vent. I also replaced the A/C evaporator coil, which was clogged with mouse crap. I have to keep the H3T in the car capsule more or in other words don't get lazy and leave it out.

Top.jpgI did clearance the pinch welds about 1/2" where the legs intersect I don't recall how many spot welds this took out but it was minimal and I tacked the edges, primed and painted the heck out of it and a couple coats of plasti-dip. I expect ill have to come back and add a bushing on the edge that contacts the slider legs. Not ideal but clearance was priority. I also don't wheel nearly as hard as you do and these are more precautionary. I'll be able to stand on to access the roof along the whole edge and
I pity the fool who dings their door into me now.
