Will the spare tire carrier fit a 35?
yes

Go with 245/75 R 16 you won't have to worry about not having enough gearing lol
can 17" rims work on the H3 or do they have to be 16s?
15" and below you have to shave your front calipers, anything above that should work just fine aslong as it's the right back spacing and it's a 6x5.5
what do you mean by right back spacing and what's 6x5.5 mean
Stock rims have a 5.74 backspacing. Remember stock wheels are 7.5" wide and have a +38mm offsetBack spacing is how far the rim sits out or in from the hub. Stock is 6.25 back spacing and rancho lofted rigs require a 4.5" back spaced rim or a 1.75" spacer which makes the stock rims have a 4.5" backspacing.6x5.5 is the bolt pattern that h3's have.![]()
17x9 with 35" tires you will need to rancho lift![]()
since I'm having trouble understanding all this, will these 17" rims work on my H3, or do I need mods to make it work?
17x9 with 35" tires you will need to rancho lift
17x8 with 35s fit stock H3 (my current setup)
No, but those wheels have two stud patterns drilled in the same wheel (6x135 and 6x139.7)Or bodylift and is 6x135 the same as 6x5.5?
No, but those wheels have two stud patterns drilled in the same wheel (6x135 and 6x139.7)
The pic you posted earlier puts both bolt patterns for each wheel size...the 6x139.7s are 9" wide the 135s are smaller
Yes, they will work. 315 is the section width in mm. So they are both the same width.
The second number means the sidewall height is that percentage of the width. So a 315/75-16 is taller than a 315/70-16 because the sidewalls are 75% of the width, as opposed to 70%.
The last number, of course, is the wheel diameter.
A 315/75-16 is a 35" tire.
A 315/70-16 is a 33-34" tire.
