Hey guys just wanted to touch base! The front diff drop has worked great so far. I don't know if any of y'all ha the popping sound in the front went turning.. But that has been completely eliminated.

YES. You can tilt the nose of the front axle like that because the driveshaft has a CV on the other end of it. However, don't do this if you are running standard u-joints on both ends...it puts them out of phase with each other and causes vibes.

What is going on with your front suspension? Is that a Rancho center bracket with (gulp) GM knuckles? You should get a spare steering rack and have it standing-by. You'll need it running that much angle on the tie rods.

Lol, ohh I do. Working on the straight axel swap. Hopefully I can get it done before any replacement parts come into play... If I'm going to do a diesel swap IM pretty sure Imma need a Dana 60 instead of the 44 torn apart in the back yard...

All depends on the diesel! A D44 is perfect for a 4bt...if you are looking at a 6bt or a Duramax, then go for the D60.

I was going turbo charged 4bt. I was thinking it wouldn't hold up to power and weight.. If it will then I have wasted a lot of dang time searching and not sending you these hubs..

The bulk of work for a SAS is done whether you are running a dana 44 or 60. If you wanna upgrade or downgrade later it would be relatively easy. You rebuild the axle with the same brackets then you swap out the axle in a few hours. Not too hard.

the spacer lift is good but will add strain on the other 2 brackets up front. With stock ones it will be probably wear them out quicker, with aftermarket up front it can probably handle it

Unless you get super nuts with the turbo...I think you would be fine with the 44. Chro-mo shafts are the biggest bang for your buck.

look for chevy dana 44 30 spline chromoly shafts.

Honestly, for the time being I would just run the spacer you have in there for now, your throwing a tad more stress on it but probably still not nearly the stress your throwing on the steering rack CV's with those angles. There are 3 brackets that hold the H3 diff in, the 2 front ones do have aftermarket bushings available. I used to run them when I was IFS.

As for the dana 44 vs. Dana 60 argument I would say it depends on what you wheel and how much your wheel. Do you go offroading much?

Just curious. How did you get three-fourths of a Rancho lift? Where are the knuckles that are supposed to be with it? They are arguably the most important part of the kit.

I think they are rancho knuckles he just did a massive torsion bar crank with the rancho. If I remember correctly he was 28+ hub to fender. Rancho spec is 26.5-27

Doesnt that translate to lets say cranked at 24" (if he didnt have a CM drop bracket) that would explain the harsh driving feel?
