Ok so finally had to fill up since chopping th muffler. Kinda noticed a loss in low end torque but I think it was me because I could still stand toe to toe with my cousins taco. I put a 18" 2.5" pipe on the end have worked well! I took a road trip today (hour and half drive) and drove did get a tad old mainly because my grandpaw wouldn't shut up about it haha. But I'd say for a simple cut and pipe with a clamp I love it. In the end tho I'm goin to get electric cut puts and dump out the Side for them this way I have nice and quiet ride for raid trips and nice throaty sound for cruising!

So in your opinion is this mod manageable for a 3 hour trip? I am wanting to do this, but just scared of the drone it will cause on highway

I hate to say it...but in my humble opinion, chopping off the exhaust is going the wrong way...it needs to be longer. Just before I traded in the H3T for the KIA, I added a custom chrome exhaust tip to the GM performance exhaust that had the H3 logo stamped onto the tip...it not only made the exhaust longer and classier in a Twinmill sort of way, but it also decreased my rear clearance - both of which only added to the off-road capabilities of the T and increased my trade-in value ten-fold. Here are the pics to prove it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Where did you get 3.5? I can only find 4" and 3"

Well if you cant find 3.5 inch. What i would do, is go to autozone or pep boys and find the drop down couplers over in the intake section and then piece it together. Theres also a pre bent universal chrome intake pipe that ive seen at every autopart store. You can buy that and the couplers and make an intake tube

3" pvc works great for the air doc diy. You need a 7" piece, you can get it at Lowes or home depot for dirt cheap. It ends up being 3" inside diameter and almost 3.5" outside diameter and fits the stock throttle body and air box almost perfect.

I bet that tip would match that 3T I posted as Why #4 :giggle:. Twin would be proud of the new owner. I bet it would also have a hard time doing cattle guard crossings with that pipe and tip too :whaa: Good thing you got the KIA instead
