okay after being bored of how quiet my hummer was i decided to chop the muffler off and boy was i surprised!!! it sounds perfect, when you start it up its got a nice throaty deep idle. When driving around normally you could never tell theres no muffler, theres no drone since the resonator is still there and when the car is in lower rpm you cant hear exhaust at all. when you get on it tho it gets loud! ill post up some photos!

I like it. Funny thing, I went to a muffler shop today about mine. Didn't like what they told me though.

There's new smog rules, if you car is 2000 or newer you no longer have to have the smog guy plug the sensor in the exhaust pipe!! Hence the reason i did this!!

but visual inspection still exists in which if the smog guy does the visual you will fail. plus there are rolling smog tests that are deployed 'randomly' throughout CA.

im going to get the pipe bender and bend it downward!!!

i dont think that will make a difference as the gases will still rise, i would get a clamp and some pipe and extend it towards the rear of the truck.

I chopped mine of as well and ran duals with 3 1/2" tips. Sounded good when you got on it but but wasn't loud enough at idle for me, didn't sound any different than stock at idle. (Previous ride was an F-150 5.4L with straight pipes). So I debated putting a flowmaster 40 on instead of the resonator. Ended up just chopped of the resonator and put a piece of pipe in place of it. I was afraid it would be to raspy and too obnoxiously loud with the 3.7 but it is anything but raspy and sounds great with little drone inside! It's perfect! I'll try and post a video of it by next week waiting on a new iPhone my mic is blown.

Watch out for exaust fumes entering rear area without that pipe out near the bumper. Especially at idle

I'll second that.
It is very dangerous to leave the pipe under the body. Not a good idea to leave it like it is... If you take the muffler off, make sure to extend the pipe outside from underneath.

MAKE SURE TO ADD A PIPE THE SHOOTS OUT THE BACK, after driving on the freeway all day the back plastic on my bumper melted! Im going to fab up a extension piece so it doesn't melt anymore
