Oh yes, agreed, a lift needs 35's, idk what those rancho guys were goin for with 32's :shifty: haha but since a lift will either be never or father down the road for me, im not too worried, when i get new tires several years from now, ill spring for 35's oh and i think its time to update your signature!! hehe

Tht rancho lifted rig had 35s on it...solar has pics of it somewhere..maybe on the official rancho lift thread.

Ok just went on another drive. I went to a off camber hill where I was flexed out all the way last time...Here is a shot of me months ago.

I felt very tippy and with the added height I was concerned I would feel even worse. It actually felt more stable. I felt less tippy and that added track width helped soooo much! I was so pleased. Off camber was my biggest concern and for now it doesnt seem too bad...A trail like cleghorn and 2N17X will determine that though

On road It corners like a champ. I used to lean alot but now it just goes where I want it to go vs. going into another lane because it cant handle corners as well. Very pleased there...Ride quality is still not up to my personal standards. I am not too worried though, everyone says this lift rides better then stock, I just need to fine tune it now. 3 possible concerns from why this is happening...alignment, shackles on hitch and not allowing full travel or cranked too low...the bumpstops are smushed on there pretty good. Now that the suspension is settling I will adjust it. I personally think its the hitch so I will pull it off and find a stock one. Luckily I dont need to tow for the next month so I have time to search around...Just gotta work out the last few kinks and I will be happy with the kit...Just waiting for the rocks I feel the added clearance will help a lot

It usually has 35x12.50-16 Maxxis Creepy Crawlers. This is the rig that used the factory wheels and 2" wheels spacers.

Tht rancho lifted rig had 35s on it...solar has pics of it somewhere

I personally think its the hitch so I will pull it off and find a stock one. Luckily I dont need to tow for the next month so I have time to search around.

I would pull the hitch off and see if the ride quality changes, I am sure a lot of what you are experiencing is coming from the shackles riding/bottoming out on the aftermarket trailer hitch.

If the shackels are hitting the hitch it would make it ride rough and it would make the rear suspension stiffer and make it feel more stable of cross grades.

I agree with Solar. Remove the hitch and see if that fixes it.

If the rear is bottoming out on the hitch, it will ride choppy in the rear. same with your bumpstops up front, you can get bump-steer to some degree.

Have you had the front end alignment done yet? If not, once you set your ride height up front and get that done, you will notice a HUGE diference. If you did the alignment already, the rear hitch bottoming out on the shackles comes into my mind being the issue.

also fine tune your shocks. you have some adjustments/ settings to play with that will help dial it in the way you like it.

pull the hitch
bring your t-brs up a little so that the bumpstops are just barely compressed.
front end alignment

start with those 3 and than start to tune the shocks. if you are putting that winch bumper on, I would just pull the hitch for now, than dial it in once you have the weight of the bumper/ winch up front. no sense in doing it a few times if you will get it mounted up soon.

Thanks guys! Took the hitch off what a difference!!!!

Still no alignment...going in monday am to get it done. The ride is so much better without the hitch and the rear came down a bit...as expected. Super pumped...now I wanna wheel!

Got more pics coming I went to the dead end of a road and mall crawled for a bit...Testing out leaning and all that. It was fun and I love the rancho lift so far! I had it up to 32 degrees off camber on the RAD-1 still felt ok to go more. One downside...An ABS line got chewed up...so the ABS and traction light is on. If I wasnt so damn excited to test it out I would of double checked the lines that were ran... :gaah: O well...Anyways I these pics are of my brothers jeep too for comparsion. 35's AEV 4.5in lift. Ignore the bad VHT nightshades on the marker light...it came off when I got egged so I need to redo it.

so the big question for me is...I wonder how it will do with john bull now. Once I add the 4:1 case I want a good comparison next to a modified flex monster. I have the clearance now I just need to let the TC system do its job lol

Thanks and back at cha! You have a great rig. Check the lines when its warms up, mine is frayed. If its going on and off yours may have rubbed and it just depends if its getting a good connection or not.
