I guess this technically doesn't count for the "What did I do with my H3 thread" since the Jeep had to stand in for the Hummer today. Wife drove the H3 to work. All the same, had a great day. We have had almost no snow this year. Good friend from Florida has never had the opportunity to wheel in the snow so we spent several hours on the trails. These are easy trails ordinarily, but they were tough today. The snow was on top of a thin layer of slick mud over top of frozen ground. Lots of spotting, and a winch once.

Picked up a couple Green Pin 5 ton shackles (5/8" forged) and a Columbus McKinnon 3/8" hook for the winch yesterday and today I swapped the hook out from the cheap stock one. I happened across them at a surplus store here (NPS). Lucky day, they were $3.00 a pound so all three of them came to just over $20 total with tax. The hook comes with a roll pin to secure the main pin, but I wanted to be able to easily remove it if needs be (to use a shackle instead for example) so I used a 1/8" clip pin to retain it. I need to do the same for the 5/8" shackles and the 9.5 ton 7/8" shackles I got last year.

Built my DIY cold air intake, had all the components laying around, finally took 5 mins and built it! Notice, since my last design I added in a rubber "guard" to prohibit rubbing of the pvc and coil pack connector, I remember on my old 3 after a couple thousand miles a hole was being rubbed into the plastic so I changed the design on this one just a touch. Lol
