Worthless mods?

The one mod that always makes me cringe (Only when someone asks) is the hood handles..but I love them so idc. Plus I paid 50$ new for mine. I really do hate when people ask what they are for though, I have no good answer aside from aesthetics.

The oem roof lights are garbage, but I've built brackets to fit LED flood housings up there, I just need to re order them.

that's an easy one - tell them that the last old lady you hit said she would have been less injured if she could have grabbed the hood. Personally, I don't think she would have had the skillz to grab it, but one must make accommodations for the ones that just can't get across a street without being run over.

Absolutely the worst thing I've ever done in my life, worse than the condom breaking, is buying the cheap "chrome tape" from Autozone and applying it around my window trim.

This stuff does *NOT* come off, tried scraping, Goo-Gone, WD40, peanut butter, razor blades, sand paper, open flame, mineral spirits, and Goof-OFF.

The bottom section took me several hours to finally get down to rubber. Screw that.

Can either get new window trim and pray the window doesn't move off the track while I finess it, or cover it up with more chrome! (Which I will do, this time with "real" aluminum flashing.)

E-Fan
PCM flash
Volant cai
Gm performance exhaust.

Some of you will be shocked at my list but I tested them one by one and then all together. They all made little to no difference except noise and shift firmness. The pcm made a half second fast 0-60 when combined with all of them. I am selling all this stuff and willing to trade the gm performance exhaust for the stock back. I actually find the noise annoying if I don't get more power with it. The e-fan is a supermodulation dual electric fan I already took it out.

Chrome...adding lots of chrome lol...alright it was cool at night at the club picking up the local psycho girls. But after getting married it became useless as well hard to maintain and replace lol...true story.

Don't forget the throttle body spacer. Oh, how about a chrome throttle body spacer! Yeah, that is the ticket!

Considering how much car mfrs invest in squeezing efficiency out of an engine, I've never bought the notion that CAI or a PCM tune will add measurable power or gas mileage. those things do more for the buyer's vanity than the engine. Aftermarket e-fans may help at low speed on the trail but on the street over 25 MPH, they block flow. Most window fans are better designed.

FWIW- The Gibson cat-back exhaust I installed didn't help me on the open road but was incredibly noticeable when climbing steep grades in high altitudes. Taking Silver Canyon in Bishop (ranges from 10-23 degrees slope and 5000-9000 ft elevation) was much easier with the new exhaust. Normally I would need to shift into first but can now easily take it in second and even third for the mellower parts, even with the 35" tires.

I would be all over the exhaust if you were closer, I assume shipping to VA would suck...
