After they posted, they graduated to "NADAHO" now we call them "Bald Tire". Then they have "Low Profile" to look forward to. Would you be proud to be called bald tire or low profile? If the answer is no, then it is demeaning! Definition of demean = to lower in dignity, honor, or standing.

I wasn't proud to be called a "Webelo" or have a Heart on my patch when I was a Life Scout...but I made it through okay.

You know what I just realized...for the past 5 months I always thought my rank "sir squeeks a lot" meant something about my rig and how it used to squeak all the time...Now I realize it means that I never shut the hell up and I just keep on squeakin.....lol

I have never given any thought to it on any forum I have been on. Nothing like a name on a forum is going to demean or lower my self esteem. I just look at it as being part of the process. Everything from Boy Scouts to fraternities to business and yes forums have some form of ranking system. It isn't to demean, just denote status. Maybe it is a reward or incentive to some but never considered the bestowing of a grander forum name as some form of reward.

I feel the ranking system here isnt demeaning one bit. In fact, I think someone should laugh when they see "prius lover" and the sir squeeks a lot is quite funny too. I mean it is true

I think the tire theme is pretty good. There will always be someone who doesn't like what you have no matter what it is.

The tire theme is a lot better that the previous forum.

Some new members might take offensive, but the cost of the VIP banner isn't that high, or you could just post a lot of nonsense.

Personally, I rather people go the VIP route rather than post a lot of useless dribble but I guess that's because I'm a curmudgeon. :emb:

One thing I like about "Prius Lover?" is that it gets the new people talking - whether it is to ask, complain or laugh. And it only takes one post by the newbie to shed that tag.

Yes, the tire idea Hans came up with is awesome.. If something as simple as that offends someone, well maybe they need it brought up so they can see the light, and lighten up.. More serious issues in the world then being easily offended by something so harmless..
