Need some help choosing tires

I'll go with BFG's.....they're good lasting tires. My brother has them on his truck and he loves them but they REALLY suck in snow

GoodYear Wrangler MT/R has a good look. I heard from many random people in the street saying :"I like those tires..... Nice!...... Your tires look good!"

MT/R makes more noise than most of other tires. If you want good looking tires, I recommend you MT/R. Also, the Off road performance is excellent!!

I have 85/75/16 Dueler AT Revo 2 and I love them, had them on my blazer and also worked for Firestone and just haven't been able to shake them off. I payed $180 a tire and after a years the tread is over 14 bond. I think I'm the only person running them.

If you mean the tire. I'm running them too (285/75R/16). This is the 3rd vehicle I've run Revos on.

The tires im running are cooper at-3's, they are an all terrain tire. I drive 90% in road, and when i do take it off road i don't have any complaints yet.

I have BFG AT's and they are lasting forever. I don't particularly like them in the snow but i don't think there is another AT tire that comes close to their longevity. Ihave 50k on them and will probably get another 15-20k, no joke. I would definitely get 285's next time though, A few guys that are meticulous, like Solarflare08, have reported no drop in mpg's with the size increase.

Yeah. They're terrible, I have them on the H2. They turn into racing slicks in Mud, snow forget about it. They also chunk like a mother. The Bridgestones I had on my 3 lasted for 54,000 and performed really well. Now I have Dick Cepek Crushers and these puppies are SIIICCCKKK!!!!

Hardest part of running AT's is the sideways look you get by people who think you should be running MT's when offroading.

In fresh snow they did well. Problem was on the highway they'ed want to follow every track they ran in. Made for a very back and forth sideways ride.
Felt like if the person in front of you slid off the road, you were going to follow. Very unerving.

I've run most of the tires people consider the best in snow, and the treadwrights blow them away. I drive from 8500 feet to 11,000 feet, to 10k & back every day, 100 mountain miles every day. Driving in snow 9 or so months of the year. I've run duellers, open country's, BFG a/t, nitto... and the treadwrights run much better. They've got green glass in them which acts like a toned down studded tire, without the horrendous noise of studs. Of the people I know who run the A/T's ^^ these or the "warden" (looks like the KO tread pattern) I don't know a single person that has gone back to anything else. I've got a set of their muds on my H3... they're not top of class like their A/T's are imo... but they're 1/2 to 2/3 of the price of other tires so I'm pretty happy with them, the road tires though... no comparison imo. (and they cost about 1/2 what other tires do)

Bummer. I'm gonna be running BFG ATs for at least a year or so, and I have a December hunt coming up this year, so snow is a definite possibility. Maybe I will sipe the snot out of em to see if that helps...

When I had my BFG A/Ts on I thought they did great in snow. I crossed the passes here in the NW in severe conditions, and drove on snowy hiways. Here at home there is a long hill with several corners. Every time it snows the road gets blocked with vehicles. I was able to stop on the hill and drive up and down pulling people out of the way. This road is also last to be plowed, so it gets pretty rutted and tracked up. I never had any issue with it wanting to wander. I was extremely impressed with how they did.

I will agree, they do really suck in deep snow off road and mud. And they do chunk out if wheeled on rock.
