Looks great, Hans! To be honest, I have been thinking about lifting mine now that I have a taller garagebut then I remember when I almost tipped over and I am glad that I am at the height that I am.

:giggle: I'm glad it could, uhh, "help you out"!

Once there are 35"s on the truck, I'm sure the transformation will be even more noticeable.

Looks good Hans.. That extra lift really helped to set it off I think.. Good job...

Thanks kindly! It really gives the T a subtle, yet bold stance. I know that's sort of contradictory... My point is this: The lift looks good, but is not noticeable like a 6" lift on an H2 or a Ram/F-250/etc.

EDIT TO UPDATE: After my mechanic worked on the front end some more, the lift is much more noticeable. I also added extended shackles in the back, which really helped a lot. The T definitely has a lifted look now, but is still far from a "wild" lift.

Good luck!

Luis, you are truly a gentleman! I really appreciate all of this. The painting is the cherry on the sundae -- it's waaay too cold here to paint.

I'll PM you my campus address.

Hans,
The splash shield is painted, packaged and ready to be shipped out to you. I will send you a pm with the shipping quote - shouldn't be too much because it's not that heavy and it's packaged to not take up much space.

HELP!

Ok, so I just measured the distances from the center of my wheel to the fender lip: Front: 23.5-24" Rear: 24.5-25"

The tech who installed the lift said I only gained about an inch or so of height in the rear...I looks like more than that to me, but I'm trying to figure it out. He also said they didn't bring the front up as high as it could go because the rear was not raised too high.

I parked next to a stock H3 last night for the first time and did not look as noticeably larger as I thought I would...

Couple of questions for you all:

Can anyone give me the distances from the center of the wheel to the fender lip for stock ride height? -- Seems OEM height is 22.5" front and 24"ish rear.

Also, to bring my front level with my rear height, would that just require a t-bar adjustment, or is there more to that? -- 06 H3 has informed me that this is correct. It would just be a simply t-bar crank now to get the front up to around 26" where it should be. I'll need to use a 1 1/16" socket.

EDIT TO UPDATE: I took the truck back to my mechanic to adjust. He couldn't bring the front up too much before because the rear add-a-leaves were not lifting much. Once I added extended shackles in the rear I was able to have the front brought way up and give the truck the height it was supposed to have.

Should be about 22 1/2. I at one time measured three on the lot and they varied a slight bit.
I don't know the specifics of that lift but it does seem you could just turn up the torsions if the lift is in place but you don't have the height you want. I don't know that there would be any other way.
If you do that of course you will be changing the angles of the cv and tie rod. I would think though that with the lift it will be nowhere near what the torsion lift alone was. That will also change toe and camber a slight amount.
If you use my method of using a level that shows angles you could document the difference as a learning tool. Check it before you do the torsion adjustment on the ground and at full droop. It would be interesting to see what angles H306 came up with his Rancho after install. I believe in some cases the Rancho has been near stock angles.
Also when you measure the front are you holding the tape under the fender and then bending it in to the wheel center? That will get a different reading than coming straight down, using a square flush against the axle end and a level on that to get a more accurate measurement.
If you do that I would strongly suggest you then turn lock to lock on the ground and jacked up and check clearance with your upper end of the steering knuckle and wheel/tire as well as anti-sway bar. Then carefully drive a short distance and recheck. Just in case!

Thanks!

That's for the front stock ride height? Do you happen to have the rear? :)

Might have found the rear -- around 24" stock height.

WHAT?!?!? thats low!

Stock is 22.5 for the front and rear is 24 or 24.5

After the lift you should be at 26 to 26.5 front and rear. I am at 26 with flat CV's in the front and rear I am at 24.5 with the new springs and 24 with the first rancho set

At this point, I think my truck is more "leveled" than lifted because my rear add-a-leaves didn't really add much height I guess. I'm going to be in contact with TC to see what they suggest.

How did your clearance at the top of the steering knuckle work out with the new spacers?

Thanks for all the great info, Hunner!

And yes, I was using a tape measure under the fender and bending it out to the wheel. Here at school I have VERY few tools, so using a square flush against the axle wasn't really an option...

Seems like the rear add-a-leaves did not add the 3" they were supposed to, and that is what is A) keeping the rear too low, and B) forcing the front to stay too low so that it does not ride at a baja truck stance.
