Hmm, this will take some digging. I see what you mean about the scroll bar, yet at the same time nothing's outside of the view (well, nothing that is necessary).
I just "upgraded" for Firefox 6.0.2. Everthing looks the same...
Wow, so far Firefox 6 sucksWhen you open a lot of tabs or the "more smileys" window it slows down bad. It seems to load and render pages fast, but it doesn't seem to like having lots of content open, especially where there is animation involved.
I went back to the official Fedora-supported 3.6.20 version, which doesnt have the problems. I will give 6 a try again after a few more revisions...

Firefox 6.0.2 on Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS with no issues, even after three tabs. I am running dual core with 4GB RAM though.
3 tabs isnt a problem. The problem is when I have 10-20 tabs open. Also, even with a single tab, opening the "more smileys" window would cause all the animated smileys to run in slow mode. FF 3.6 doesnt do any of this...
I'm running a dual core 64 bit CPU with 2GB memory on my laptop.

Ah yes, they changed the rendering engine so that each window is now a thread so if you have several flash windows open, you have multiple threads of the flash thread going instead of one.
