WTB H3/H3T OEM Brush Guard Gaskets

[Real4WD]

Hey, all.

Looking an oddball part. OEM H3 brush guard gaskets. GM#88968027. Part is backordered with GM dealers (no stock) date of delivery TBD (never). If anybody has some laying around I would love to take them off your hands! Used parts in good condition are OK.

Yes, I know it would be easier to make a part:roll::roll:. I want the factory original part.

Seems like a unicorn part, what are they made of?

IIRC, they’re just hard plastic. You could trace the brush guard mount onto a piece of black plastic 1/16”-1/8” thick and cut it out to fit.

It is a hard plastic/poly material. I installed a new brush guard kit on my old H3...should have taken the guard off before I sold the vehicle.

We made slightly thicker than stock ones to help space guard out from grill out of delrin. Can't really tell they are not OEM other than thickness

Interesting. Is Delrin expensive? How easy is it to work with?

You could also leave them off. I bought my brush guard second hand and didn't have the gasket. Never caused an issue in 12 years.

Delrin is pretty cheap really, especially some 1/8" thick scrap pieces which is all you'll need. It's easy to work with as well, wood saws and drills can cut it no problem. Probably just look up plastic suppliers near you and go see if they have some off cuts you can grab from them.

Cool! I may give this Delrin a shake. Having a little extra space between the brush guard ans my painted grille would be nice! Thanks for the info.

I ended up making a stencil and cutting them to spec from some 1/8" rubber sheeting. Works just fine! Here's a pic with the brush guard installed.
