Well, it looks like, Julie, Lincoln, Chris, and I; will be the only attendees to represent H40 in this event. This is my second trip to Hidden Falls, so count me out on the experience catagory.

Hey guys get me a god count of how many your group has coming. Is there someone coming who has good experience wheeling and been to Hidden Falls a few times?

Stouttrout, unfortunately, there will be only 3 hummers that will be there representing H40. Unless, other members arrives, but out of this thread, just Julie, Lincoln, Chris, and myself. Julie, Lincoln, Chris, hope you all don't mind, I went ahead and replied to Stouttrout's thread. Don't want to keep the guy guessing.

"Sua Sponte”.

Oh my gosh we have just had a family emergency and have had to turn around and come back home. We will not be able to go. I am so sorry StoutTrout as I hate to break a commitment. I have already let John know. I apologize everyone as I know so many of us have cancelled.

Chris, I guess its just you and me, bud, I have already made a commitment to a fellow veteran soldier and his family, so I'll be there.

Definition of a Veteran

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank
check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of
"up to and including his life."

That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who
no longer understand it.

Ladies and Gents I am sad to report that I blew my CV joint/boot thingy and an intense and extensive recovery effort was made by rock crawlers. So the story is there was the Jeeper (the MP with the cool looking rig) an F150, and I were an a trail when some rock climbers came along, the Jeep decided to follow them. Somehow the F150 took a different trail and we did not know about that so the Jeeper and I blindly followed the Crawlers to what they called "Toothless". I attempted to crawl up a 4 foot wall and it just did not work. This breaking the CV. It took perhaps an hour (seemed longer to me) to winch me out and send me on my way. One of the recovery guys is a mechanic so hopefully we can fix the CV in the morning. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1367726435.346033.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1367726444.230823.jpg

Glad you enjoyed them

FRU[/QUote

Yeah, both Chris and I enjoyed it, got kind of "hanged up" at the last stretch in Royal Gorge, vehicle was low (damn, wish I purchased those 37") got hang at the diff, large boulder jagging in the middle of the trail. everyone help out by piling boulders to get me over the top, but at the end, had to get a jeep to assist me to get over that damn large "boulder".

No and it's the CV Boot, I've definitely learned something tonight

Have you taken the half shaft out yet? From the looks of it, it looks like the cv joint grenaded and took out the boot. Did you hear a loud bang when it happened?

If it was a bang, more than likely the cv is in half. I wouldn't drive it more than you have too. In fact i wouldn't drive it at all. We had a So Cal member that had that happen and drove it. It ended up taking out the front diff

That's not good we are going to check it tomorrow morning when we can see what's going on
