Installed some much needed upgrades. Fox shocks, upper control arms, axle seals, OD diff bushings, pads, rotors, calipers and stainless brake lines. I also used por15 on the frame while I was in there.

I haven't driven it yet. I still have to finish up with the por15 on the rest of the frame/rear suspension.

Not to hijack but I put the fox 2.0 on my h2. The ride is a little stiffer at slower speeds and softer at higher speed. To me the ride difference over the stock shocks isn’t a big enough difference. I do like them but if I did it again, I’d spend the money for high quality adjustables.

We took my metal baby out to the desert. Only for a little while just to have a play. Didn't take any air out the tyres, plus my tyres are not great for the sand. Anyway, proud of her, she went everywhere without fighting us.. racing up and down the dunes, doughnuts. Was fun





A couple days later we took her to fix her leaky windscreen as the "winter" season is slowly makes its way towards us, and finally fixed the ripped CV axle boot. Got a quote to fit the OD Bushings, good price but they want the truck for a whole day..
Annnnddddd thought while we are in the area, we will cut off the back muffler and stick a straight pipe dual exhaust on there .. you know.. for fun :giggle:
But to be honest, I didn't think it would make any difference to the way she performs, I thought it was just sound.. but now she responds so much quicker to any slight touch on the accelerator! .. I have heavy feet anyway so now I really have to watch my speed! Cruise control is my new best friend haha!

Yeah if I plan to be going far into the desert and be playing for a long time or camping etc then I will take a load of air out, normally around 10 - 15 psi.
But this time I had just got a coffee by the entrance of this bit so it was a spontaneous "Let's go!" haha
Plus it had just rained so the sand was sticky and heavy so it was alright. She did her job very well.

Are they closing any of the open desert in Qatar?

Over this way they've started closing huge areas ... or attempting to.. there's always a way in somewhere :shifty:

Closing the desert? The whole country is a desert so its abit difficult to isolate it here!
My camping trip used to be 50 km offroad through sand dunes/desert land until I reach the sea between Qatar/UAE/Saudi. This pic was a few years back

Yeah I know right!! There's a lot of open desert areas in between the east and west sides of UAE.. the main desert "playground" was Al Faya, but they've "closed it" now by making it impossible to get into by digging huge trenches or putting up police barriers and blockades because too many people were having accidents etc.. so because of that, they've started blocking the other areas.
Obviously people are trying to find ways around it though and also a lot of people are complaining.

I think the only place that they really can't block is the empty quarter south of Abu Dhabi heading towards Saudi haha!

I haven’t since my set is less than 3 years old and next on my list is gears that I still can’t make my mind up on ratio [emoji30]. If you want to stay fox I’d get at least the 2.0 adjustables, I think they have 8 or 10 settings. The 2.5 fox adjustables allow you to adjust for both slow and fast so you can really dial in your setup. I would also check out king.

Received about a foot and a half of snow in northern Arizona!

Picked up some amber lights, didn't want to mount them on the bumper. Bolted them to the outside of the main light onto a 52" over the windshield mount.

Lights came in just under 55", needless to say. It was a fight to get them right. I think it came out just how I envisioned.

Also, I think I should get rigid industry to support me some way seeing how I have.

40" spot/flood combo
2 6" spot amber

Shocks all around. Went with shocks from rockauto. Also did front brakes. Pads and rotors. Went with Wagner pads and eBay rotors
