Turbo oil leak!

If it blows oil to the cylinder that means that the piston rings are blown and most likely you will have to replace it. I alwais sought that it is a bad idea to put turbo on stock motor. You are increasing the pressure and the stock parts are not designed for it. Also with larger turbos you HAVE to change everything to reduce the compression ratio or you will blow the motor.

No you do not need to lower the compression ratio on most modern motors. By using a higher octane fuel and retarding the timing you can compensate for stock compression ratio. You would have to run a massive turbo before you needed to lower the compression of the stock motor and at that point the bottom end of our motor would give out. Think of how many mustangs, corvettes, camaros, silverados etc that are running forced induction with stock compression and the aftermarket is offering a warranty on the motors. I have been looking into forced induction for the vortec 3500 for several years now and interestingly enough the stock computer can handle larger injectors and tuning for up to around 10psi of boost... kinda like it was meant to be....

UPDATE!

The dealer has had the rig for over a week now. They have come to the conclusion that the issue is NOT in the motor. They sent it to a local 'turbo' shop that has more day-to-day contact with the stuff. The guys at that shop say it needs a 'catch can' set-up.
Appearantly, turbos used to have a by-pass that cought some of the extra oil and then returned it to the sump with the rest of the oil. This one either, never had one, should have had one, now needs one......? It sounds good to me, but it also sounds like they're treating the symptoms, not the injury....
It's supposed to be done 1/28 or 29?

If this is the problem you may want to look in to having a catch can installed.

Consumption of fuel is regulated by computer for optimal performance. Proper mixture of gas and air gives you the right amount for good bang to create the pressure to push the piston down. But naturally aspirated engine have a pressure of 0 or even a bit on the negative side when piston is in the low position. What turbo does is forcing the air in to the piston when it is low and air valve is open. That creates a positive amount of boost pressure, multiplying it when the piston at it's high position and the mixture ignites, resulting in more pressure to push the piston down (pressure = piston is going down with more force = more torque and pressure = piston is completing the sickle faster = more hp) But forcing just air is not enough, more air mean you need MORE FUEL for the correct mixture, that's why in most cases when you instal turbo you have to get bigger fuel injector and tune the ECU so it will accommodate for the positive air pressure and dump more fuel.
In all turbo application that I've seen the fuel consumption drops lower. HOW DOES TURBO INCREASES THE MPG???

Its not 0 pressure its 1 atmosphere ie 14.7 PSI. Boost is is any pressure above 1 atmosphere, so when your BOOST Gauge maxes out at 8psi that is 8 psi above 1 atmosphere. The pressure doesn't push anything, your increasing the volume within the piston area to burn fuel more efficiently. There is a boost relief valve as well. You need to Google Turbo charging before you question its capabilities and function.

yup it Blow By this might help. What is the Boost pressure setup on the Turbo setup. You just need to learn about Turbo systems and you won't have any issues as long as you you don't turn up the boost without having everything else upgraded and programed for it. Do you have a Boost Gauge setup inside to see your Boost and Vacum pressure. THat can be very helpful. Check your plugs they might foul out with that oil blow-by because you usually run a cooler plug with Turbo setup. If you have questions be happy to help with what I know and experienced with. I have had my share of postive displacement vehicles.
