I have found that both the transmission mounting bolts on my H3 is missing in action, tried looking for the replacement bolts online and cant seem to find them at all, much less to obtain the correct size.

could anybody be of assistance?

That's amazing. Seems the likely cause is they were never put back in after a repair or something, as opposed to both of them somehow backing out completely and falling out.

I'd wager they are M10 or M12 bolts, probably whatever the coarse thread sizing is. 20mm long with full thread maybe.

Its definately possible. Scary to think about it actually.

its definately a bigger bolt than the ones used to fasten the skidplates as they go in loosely. But dont want to start buying various bolts just to play pin the donkey on the tail untill I get the correct size

Those aren't the wrench sizes, those are the bolt diameters. The skidplate bolts that use a 10mm socket are M6 bolts. I think the rear skidplate bolts are M8 though, which uses a 13mm socket.

M10 uses a 16mm socket and M12 uses a 18mm socket, so they are plenty big. You only need one of each to try the fit, and it should just be the course thread (M10x1.5 or M12x1.75), I'd be surprised if they are fine thread (M10x1.25 and M12x1.5) but it is possible. They're pretty cheap, I'd go with class 10.9 personally, but 8.8 is probably fine too. I'd be more concerned about my driveline tearing itself apart than the extra cost of a few bolts you don't need. Plus you can never have too many spare bolts laying around, you will likely end up needing them later on and they never go bad unless you let them rust.

I'd start out with the M10 if you already tried the M8's from the rear skidplate. M12 is probably far too large as I think about it.

These bolts coming loose were the culprit for driveline thump for not to long ago. I caught mine before they fully dropped out.
