To Much Black?

Ok so I would like I think I got my T as black as I can, beside the white walls on the tires that are getting flipped this weekend. But I'm starting to think I might have to MUCH black on now. I've been eye balling Bigunit's T for a long time now on how he just has the door handles and front HUMMER in chrome and I really like that look. So what I'm thinking of doing is just have a hint of chrome and wanted to help on areas to pick. The H3T emblems have to stay black because I don't like the two tone thing. My roof bars are chrome and I'm thinking of picking up chrome H2 Hood Handles. If Bigunit allows me to I would like to get chrome door handles. That should finish up that just a hint of chrome right?

Your question, of course, is 125% opinion based... So I'll share mine.

I have never been a huge fan of "murdered" (black on black) trucks. They seem sort of, well, sinister to me. I understand that some guys like that look...so, to each there own.

Personally, I prefer black accents on a colored truck (i.e. red, white, blue...purple ) and that is the direction I am taking with my truck. I'm sure some folks think my truck is ugly or whatever, but again, to each there own.

If you were to hire me to "design" your truck, I would slap some chrome handles (not mirrors), chrome belt line, and chrome roof rails on it. I would also get some black wheels with chrome accents. Basically, I would just put enough chrome to accent (and therefore accentuate) the black.

If you think you've got too much black, you could also go the path less traveled with some red accents or something like that. Photoshop can be a fun tool to help you envision your truck.

...Good luck!

BTW, if you want chrome handles, I've got some. LMK if you're interested.

The monochromatic look is ok on some vehicles, but I'm not a fan of it on any HUMMER.

Just as where you can have too much chrome, you CAN have too much of a single color. Be it black, red, blue, orange, etc. Although I do like the white rig with all black accents "storm trooper" look on an H3/H3T.

Made me chuckle, all my "black" cars are completely blacked out, and have the personalized tag "sinister" spelled one way or another. Goes back to 1987..... feel old now. Im not a fan of the term "murdered out", monochromatic cars have been around forever, that term is just modern day ghetto.

Damn that's a great looking 3, what did you do to your wheels? I like how they look gun metal gray? My wheels are starting to rust and it's really starting to tick me off. So that maybe one thing I can do to break it up some, also I'm looking for H2 hood hanldes but all I can find are chrom ones. That's what really set this thing off.

It looks good as it is, just need some bigger tires , I wouldn't not add any chrome to it, and yeah I always like blacked out trucks

Alex your truck looks sick, its a beast, I like the blacked out, not "murdered" look. Did you paint your grille or buy one?
Bought the grill from Hummer, its the painted "tactical" grill. Was $315.00 new. They are dumping the chrome ones for the same price. Not sure if they have any painted ones left.

I like your truck as is... Take a look at my T. I have chrome handles and chrome front covered with a black brush guard.. I added some Gear alloy Wheels that have a machined face to add just a hint more chrome but I will have everything else blacked out... Blacked out is and always will be BEAST!!!

I used wheel paint, its a very dark gun metal gray, matches the plastic trim perfectly. Been painted for over 40k miles, never touched up, and on my 3rd set of tires. Prep is everything, but this paint has held up under all sorts of conditions. May have $25 invested in the paint, and did it years ago.

The all black looks great but a little chrome looks good also. My first H2 was black with chrome mirror caps and door handles. It looked really good.

I just did a bunch of research... and the facts are in.

There's no such thing as too much black on a truck!

and I have to admit, as one who could care less about looks in general... Sinstr's looks SICK.
