So, I figured it was time to start a thread about Moab BSHS week in April - it will be here before we know it - just to get the conversation going & to see if we can convince some forum members who haven't been there yet, to meet us there, what new mods have you done to your rig in preparation for April's BSHS week that you can't wait to put to the test...and don't forget,... :pics: !

If you aren't prepared to go back to Moab over and over don't go the first time. It is an amazing place and you can't get enough of it.

we go 2 to 4 times each year. love it there. ...and not just for wheeling. We Mtn Bike and hike also, so some of the trips we just have camping gear and no plan to wheel...although we end up off road somewhere. lol. ...looking to do a float trip this Summer in that area...maybe Green River.

Once you go to this area one time, you'll figure out ways to get back there as soon as you can!!!!

I might actually maybe be able to fly out for this:

~ As a senior in my last semester, I was able to mold my schedule pretty nicely -- I don't have class on M-W-F.
~ As long as we don't get any snow days, I have a 2-day "spring recess" on 4/12 and 4/13.
~ Since I do not have class on Wed's, I could fly out on 4/11 or possibly even late 4/10.
~ I always have Mon's off, I would be set to stay that day and fly out late 4/16 or possibly early 4/17.
~ I could fly out of Dulles or Reagan Int'l...but not sure where the closest airport to MOAB is. I would need some local help on figuring that, lodging, etc out.

The problem is, I don't know how long BSHS week usually goes. If it is a full week (4/12 to 4/19) I'd have to pass. I have a senior capstone class Tues/Thurs with the Dean of the business dept. -- each class period we miss is an automatic 5 pts off our final grade. That means two absences and you couldn't even get an A in the course! :whaa:

Sorry to confuse...This is all just me thinking out loud... :) I'll be interested to see some more details.

Usually first run is Sunday and last run is Saturday. People come and go throughout the week. I think Grand Junction, CO is the closest real airport.

Ahh... Well, it may not work for me to come out then. :sigh: Maybe next time.

Again, keep in mind that many folks don't spend the full week, there's plenty who come in for just a couple of days :)

Please consider coming out to wheel with us

Well I would love to come!! Maybe if I can get some rides/dates firmed up I could make it happen! I'll look into airfare -- do we camp-out or sleep in hotels?
