Thinking about plasti diping my chrome

I have a H3X and don't like all the chrome, thinking about plasti-dip as an extremely less expensive alternative to replacement of the wheels, the brushguard, the fuel door, the chrome on the spare tire carrier, the door handles and mirrors.
Has anyone done this and if so how did it work?

That stuff is HOT these days.

People are coating everything from wheels to entire vehicles with that stuff.

Cool part is, if you get tired of it or the finish gets damaged.....just peel it off or re-spray it.

Worst case, it is a cheap experiment and harms nothing.

Not sure how well it would hold up to hard off-road abuse.....but it seemed to hold up pretty well against some brush scrapes.

A guy on another forum sprayed the hood and some other parts on his H1 with it and seemed happy.

Go to Youtube and search for Plastidip.....all sorts of info and how-to's there.
