Where are you scoring a lift? Deals on the Rancho are few and far between.

Personally, I like the idea of 37s...but as some have mentioned, 35s will get the job done. I'm still doing my best to beat up my 33s so I can step up, but they just won't die!!

I have found a gentleman in Texas who owns a rig with te rancho lift.. He owns a few business down there and has it vynle rapped with his business logo and uses it to promo the business.. He has appsolutely no off road time on it and wants to go back to stock.. When he had it put on the business kept all stock parts.. Basically we have made a parts trade and a lil bit of cash.. (I will tell u the amount once transaction is completed)lol but I have to drive up there to do a swap at the same time.. Just waiting on him to set an appointment for us to get it done.. As of right now next weekend..

will your rims fit? Otherwise you will sit in a shop with no tires on...you need 4.5in backspacing on a rim under 20. If you have a 20in rim you need a 5in backspaced rim or lower.

If no one will do it for you drive it out here and I will do it lol

I knew when I got the truck I wanted the lift so I made sure I got the wheels I needed...

One of these days we should all get together and do a "Hummer Chop & Weld Retreat". Pick a location...grab all the necessary tools...make a week out of it. I know of 3 or 4 guys right now that would love to do the SOA but, they're either torch-shy or simply don't have the tools/place/experience to do it. It would be so cool to assembly-line a bunch of them. When you think about it...four guys could really kick-ass doing this. Especially if you assigned specific jobs for each guy.

Jack em up.
Un-bolt the driveshafts (while another guy does the shocks)
Un-bolt the axles (while another guy drops the fuel tanks)
Chop the front hangers (while another guy preps the axle)
Weld-on the new hangers (while another guy installs longer brake lines)

You get the idea. It would go real fast with a crew like this. Plus my neighbors would love seeing four H3's in my driveway with the axles out from under them!

Of course, after we get done we'de have to go flex em out!

UPDATE!! The lift is a go.. I'm headed to get it at the beginning of next week mon-wed!! I will start preparing some before and after pics... Now I have to figure out this while SOA issue!!

Count me in! Id love to help out. After doing the first one about 9 months ago I know the second would be MUCH faster.

Getting the truck ready to go to Austin and pic up the lift.. This might be a dumb question.. I have the super chips programmer and plan an witching to the fuel saver mode for the trip.. It says 83 octane but I would rather use 93 since that what I always use.. The question is can I still use 93 and will I still see better fuel savings this way???

Just cleaned the truck for my Rancho before and after pics!!!

I leave first thing in the morning and will hopefully have after pictures witchin 24hrs.. For those wondering why I'm so excited, I'm only paying $700 for the lift!! Wish me luck!!

I have the RS9000 adjustable shocks. I've tried several of the settings and settled on #2 at all four corners. At first it was on #1 in the rear but that was too soft.

Lol man I'm so pumped.. Well got there early an the business is still open so can't go back in the bay and help or take pictures.. So I'm a lil agitated lol.. Hopefully I can sneak some!
