After using additional accessories for long time, I realized that I never used them or they were not necessary fir daily/regular driving. I live in south Florida.
I never used the spare tire till I bought new tires. 28,000 miles on the original 32" tires.

So, I took off accessories : gray/black GM Grille Guard
gray/black GM Roof Racks and the Spare Tire
gray/black GM Assist Steps
chrome GM Fuel Door.
chrome GM Grille

Now My H3 has flat rear. I like it. And it's balanced weight matches with new 35" tires.

[] : Anybody knows the covering kit for "flat rear" ????????? I really really need it.
BTW, I know Japan has covering kit but it is really expensive-$380 for unpainted white cover. I hope I can find it in USA.

Personally I would hate to go anywhere with out a spare tire, you will never know when you will need it. How about mounting a 35" tire on the spare, so you still have a function spare? With that being said, I think GOBI makes a rear spare tire delete. You are not going to want to completely remove the vents or your going to run into issues.

If you're have AAA and you're not going off road or to very remote sites you could get by without a spare, but then why go to 35" tires.

I'd say go all the way and go back to 32" A/T tires or get a 35" spare.

You should weigh all the weight you removed and see if your gas mileage improved (measurable).

You can make your own spare tire delete... Someone mad one out of a loaf pan and damn it... I thought it actually looked pretty damn good with the multiple antenna's coming out of it. Anyone remember that?! Who was that again?!

You could also have somebody make a jerrycan rack to hide the vents. I saw somebody that did that and it looked great.

I like the simple plain look but I like the loaded for bear look better. Either way, if you don't use a bunch of the accessories there is no point hauling them around with you everywhere. I will say that I have picked up a couple of tire puncturing pieces of metal while driving on road and sure was glad to have a spare with me.

gobi makes a flat plate. Talk to Tim @ expedition hardware but I would keep a spare somewhere, on the roof, inside, or on the stock location

Have you ever heard of Murphy's Law??
Are you going to carry a tire repair kit and compressor?

There are those cheeky fender flares again. They are not even enough for those spaced out wheels. It's gonna rain rocks, oh, it's just for shows.

Both of my punctures were beyond a plug kit. One was a triangular piece of flat steel that made about an inch and a half long slice right through the tread and the other was about a 1/4" piece of round steel. Might could do an inside patch on the last one but in reality the tire was done. Thankfully I had the 4WheelParts road hazard warranty but without a spare AAA would have flat bedding me somewhere.

You could always just buy a commuter car... best hummer upgrade I made! :) (35" off road tires are pretty expensive to commute in, unless you're Bebe!)

I wonder, with a 5 gallon bomb on the back end, will it blow up real good? I guess little cars would miss it but pickups, hmmm
I carry a can on occasion when I need it, but it is up higher than bumpers and hoods on most things.

Both were Kevlar MTRs on the H3. I hate it when small econoboxes get stuck in the tire treads of one of the H1s, they make an annoying clicking sound as the tire rotates. :)

Along with a spare tire, don't forget to keep a couple of Prius' handy...they make great wheel chocks!

Of course you have two of those three locations covered. I think you need to load the bases and go for all three.

What are you going to do with the accessories? I'm sure the membership on here would be happy to help you disperse of them...

If you never go off road and have AAA or similar, I say go for it. To each his own. I didn't used to keep the spare in the back of my Cherokee (took up a lot of space inside) if I was staying local. There was always someone around to run back to my place to grab my spare in case of emergency.

I would however recommend having a 35" spare to keep in your garage, for that "someone" to bring to you WHEN you get a flat.

WoW city living is convienent!:) I had to ford two feet of water to get home tonight and that was on the paved section of road. It's really hard to see those land mines under water. Spares are like that credit card ad, don't leave home without it.

Just depends on where in Florida...South Beach or the Glades? Up there in the swamps where sleeveless button down shirts are dressing up? ;) I enjoyed living in Florida but it can be a whole 'nother world at times.
