Steering wheel is shaking going down the road and when I hit the brakes it gets worse at times. Not sure what's going on thinking. Rotation needed, ice build up, alignment, or warped rotors. Any ideas?
Thanks

Warped rotors won't affect anything unless you're braking. Suspect worn steering rack mounting. Lots of discussions on the forums - some heated :whaa: - with opinions on the different solutions manufacturers. I'm partial (and biased!) towards the Preferred Chassis Fab solution that you can find in our Sponsors section.

Early builds also had issues with worn intermediate shafts in the steering but I think most of those were quickly fixed under warranty.

But I'd also start with tires and to a lesser degree, alignment.

Unbalanced tire's can cause all sorts of vibrations, and horrible steering. Get the all the tires balanced and rotated, then see how it does. A bad alignment won't usually cause shaking unless you have damaged steering components like bad tie rods, ball joints, or rack bushings.

How many miles are on your H3? You could have a combo of warped rotors, worn steering components, or unbalanced tires. If you aren't mechanically savvy take it in to be inspected.

Thanks for the info. Going to have the tires balanced and rotated tomorrow. It does have 112000 miles on it. Ill look into the front. More if the balance and rotation dosent work
