oil prefence

Hey guys was trying to get a idea what everyone uses for oil? Any preferences . I plan on using AC Delco

I mostly use Mobil 1, but may switch it up to Castrol synthetic if it's on sale.

I didn't realize AC Delco made motor oil. I use whatever name brand synthetic is on sale for all oils. They're all quality.

I've been using royal purple since I got mine, i used to replace it every 3/4k miles but last year I was told that the oil is rated for 10k miles so since then I replace it ever 6k miles just in case engine oil is cheap engines repairs are not. That's my take.

I pick up whichever A3/B4 0W30 or 0W40 is cheapest at walmart in the 5qt jugs and run it 5K miles in all our cars. When they go on sale for ~$20-22 per jug I'll buy 5 or so jugs. If I can't find these I'll pick up Rotella T6 5w40 as an alternative.

If I can find a bottle of "Green" German Castrol Syntec 0W30 I'm all over that!

Royal Purple oil and filter

2 yrs ago when I bought my rig it had 130K. At 150K & every 50K afterwards I add 1 qt of SLICK 50 to the Valvoline high mileage synthetic blend. Currently at 235,000. Also add a can of Seafoam to the gas tank every 10K. Engine still pulling strong (for the I5).
