Hello. I just bought a 2007 H3. My car has only one key and no remote/fob. I have no idea if the car originally had a fob. I was wondering if all Hummer H3s come with a fob? If yes, how can I connect a new fob to my H3? Thank you for your help.

Welcome. They all had two keys and fobs when new.

You can only connect a fob to the H3/H3T with a bidirectional scanner with that capability or the GM Dealer's Tech II. I am betting that your vehicle lost contact with the original fobs so the prior owner never bothered. Many reasons that can happen. IMHO you are better off getting an aftermarket remote start installed by a competent installer and use the fobs with that as they have far better range and the additional start feature.

Enjoy!

Thank you for the replies. So the locksmith could not connect the fob because the ECM does not communicate with the fob. I am still using the key and haven't found a good locksmith to fix the problem.
Another problem: My engine mounts need to be replaced. The part numbers are 15236456 (left) and 15925797 (right). I was told it's better to replace the transmission mount (p/n 15804744) at the same time. I can't find the GM/AcDelco 15925797. Should I use the original left engine mount and transmission mount and an aftermarket right mount? Or is it better to use the same aftermarket brand for both engine mounts and transmission mount? Any recommendation on a reliable aftermarket mount? Any help is appreciated?
Also does anyone know a good auto mechanic for Hummer H3 in Orange County, CA?
I have a Hummer H3 2007 with 185K miles.

Send me a DM, I am not too far from you and whenever I run into a bind I have a quality mechanic and stereo shop close by I go to. The remotes can be a PITA if you really want the OEM, like Doc Olds said, a entry level Viper alarm with remote start might be cheaper and add more functions.

Your transmission mount may need to be replaced, but in my experience it's not typically replaced along with the engine mounts in the H3. I've only replaced the trans mount one time (and it didn't even appear worn out), and I did the engine mounts many times. I'm glad you're looking up the GM/AC Delco parts as they last a lot longer than Dorman or similar.

Welcome to the group...
Mine came with a fob and has never worked. The GM service center blamed it on the Pioneer Headunit a previous owner had installed.

You only have ONE fob?

Buy another and get it programmed by the locksmith.

If still no good, it's the BCM

trans mounts are not rocket science.

If AC/Delco's are not available, go aftermarket.

Maybe Urethane ones so it lasts forever.
