Hi All,

New to the sight. Used to have a H3 Luxury/Adventure 2006 and loved it. Currently run Off-road tours with 2 military H-1's. Now looking for a H3t Alpha with the Luxury/Adventure packages. Does any one know if these exist or how many were made? Any advice on where to find one? I have searched Ebay, Autotrader, Autos.com, Carmax, Edmunds and other sites. Bank has pre-approved me for 3 weeks. Feeling the pressure to find one. I have seen Alpha's for sale with the Adventure or Luxury but not both. Thanks for the help!!!

Welcome to the forum!

I believe there were less than 6k H3T Alphas produced...even fewer with the Off-Road Package. Good luck on your search!

Welcome to the forum. Hopefully one day we can have a forum meet at Harlan. It's supposed to be the best 4x4 park in the area since Tellico was closed.

Welcome to H4O from upstate NY. Just did a quick search on Auto Trader and I found at least three with what you are looking for. If you give me a minute I can post some links for you.

Welcome to H4O from SoCal.

There were less than 6,000 H3T's built and only about 10% of them were Alphas. What you're looking for exists because I have one in my driveway.

There were 4 models of the H3T; Base, Adventure, Luxury and Alpha. On each model there was a long list of equipment packages. On the Adventure model the off road package (which includes front and rear lockers and 33" wheels) was standard (so many people confuse the Adventure Model with a model equipped with the off road package). On the Luxury model heated leather seats were standard. As I'm sure you know only the Alpha model came with the 5.3 Liter V8. I think that heater leather seats were standard on the Alpha, but you could special order it without leather. Therefore, you won't find an Alpha Adventure Luxury model, but you can find an Alpha with the off road package and heated leather seats. I've only seen one Alpha with cloth seats and it was special ordered that way.

I have had the best luck finding listings on Autotrader. There are currently 50 H3T's listed on Autotrader (if you select any distance). 16 of the 50 H3T's are Alpha's. The best way that I know of to check for lockers is to look for a picture of the dash like this.

The two buttons on the left above the Navigation system are the rear and front lockers respectively. No button, no locker.

This one has no front locker. If there is only one button on the left it is the rear locker. Two buttons it has both front and rear lockers.

I have an H3T alpha with adventure package. Love the truck -- good pick. I would love to hear about your military H1's. I've learned a lot about those as they were the other option I was considering when I bought the T.

Thanks, I have been looking for the listings to specifically say off-road or adventure package. Because of this forum I now have a better understanding and that the listings aren't going to be that clear. Thanks. I think I am leaning toward the one in Minnesota.

Hi Portager,

Many thanks for your response. So, am I correct in thinking that your H3t has 33" tires as part of the off road package and that any of the 4 listings from solar flare that have the front and rear lockers will have the lower gear ratio also?

Hi Kflips,

Ausome, by the end of the week I hope to have a alpha/adventure. We have been running off road tours for a year now with 2 1984 military H1's. Hummers are great, everyone loves them and the kids keep asking us to keep going through our giant mud holes. We did have to take a number of moguls out of the course as we kept twisting sway bars. Lots of upkeep for what we do but lots of happy guests.
Thanks

That's correct, all four that I posted have the off road Package (what it's called on the Alpha). They have front and rear lockers, 33" tires, and 4:1 transfer case.

Well mine had 33" tires originally and the off road package with 4:1 transfer case, but when I bought it the dealer had "upgraded" it to 32" tires on 20" chrome rims. Now it has 35" (315/75R16 Cooper STT tires) on Hutchinson double beadlocks.
