On the back side of the diamond plate, do you have any sort of padding? I could envision the tires getting close to running into it upon impact with a big hill.

No, where it at, it will never even get close.

That looks really really good. That should have been a factory option like that.

I wonder if there would be way to make that lower grill section hinge open or pop out with some spring clips or something. So you could easily access the drum for snags and tangles.

Are the wheels turning yet?? Just shows there is [STRIKE]plenty[/STRIKE] enough room for a winch/bumper and not kill the approach angle. I also really like the look of the clipped wings too.

That's it, it was nothing super fancy.

cut it down to under 32", might have been 31.5, don't remember off hand. (I welded mine to the frame, you'll see at the top of the frame the metal is folded over and welded to make it a box, I burned mine fast to the factory weld.)

cut the entire rear flange off but leave the bend & 1/2" ish (you'll have to measure) of the lip, just so you can tap it under the core support.

Do the same to the outter 5" on each side of the front.

Winch bolt holes have to be re drilled forward, the winch housing will be pushed against the front of the plate. (Everything is snug, lol)

Because of that, countersunk bolts need to be welded in from the back of the front plate to hold the fairlead/Hawse.

Not having to figure all that out the hard way should save you a few hours
