Thinking about adding to my small hummer family. Truck looks very clean inside and out. Has roughly 106000 mi and the only thing I can find is a small exhaust leak. Someone has taken the air suspension off of the rear and put spring suspension back on. Anything else you think I should look for and what would be a fair price range?

What year? At that mileage, front suspension is an issue. Hubs, idler and pitman arm. Looks like it might have been adventure package, but they changed out door handles. Idk. If you have the vin, pm me it and I can check it out

Exhaust leak is probably at the head? Known problem with these trucks, mine is doing it again, happens if you run them hot (doesn't mean overheated, just like mine pulling a trailer in Nevada in June).
Is the error air suspension in driver display gone? Curious how the air susp. was removed and how they silenced the error. There's actually a repair bracket for this, the manifold bolt heats up and breaks which causes the leak. Rock Auto has a cool replacement bracket piece that can be put in their to stop this from happening.
Power mirrors will take a crap if they haven't already. Either they'll stop adjusting or won't fold in--no big deal, just annoying and expensive if you want to replace.
Like Zach said, if front end hasn't been rebuilt--it needs to be. If you can get it on a lift or jack up front end, check for play in tie rods, pitman, ball joints. Even on factory 35's the front end wears out.
Probably more quirks I can't think of but overall a great and fun truck to own and drive. Don't buy it if you can't really fathom the fuel mileage, you need to make sure you've got gas money to play. We've seen up to 12mpg out of ours on the 35's, down to 9-10 mpg on the 37's.

Personally I love the 2003 H2, and I wouldn't change it for anything else. Most things can by upgraded or updated if you really wanted to.

I also had an 03 for 120k mile. The only issues were electrical due to leaving it outside for almost 10 years & we get about 60" of rain annually. So keep that in mind. If I could fit it in my garage at the time, I doubt I'd have issues.
I had the fuel pump go out twice & that's more of a GM issue than H2 specific. Also, the mirrors had issues with folding (all 03/04 models had this problem). Just replace w/ 2005+ & you're set. I dealt with that too, but read it's common, although not an unsolvable problem.
I still miss the 03, despite the major upgrade in powertrain. I may source another sometime down the road. You won't regret the purchase.

Look at autotrader & see what prices are going for. I did this w/ the 09 I bought earlier this year.
I'm seeing $15k to $20 for similar mileage.
It seems the price is continuing to climb for H2s.

Don't worry about the error code for the air--it happens when the suspension is changed to coils; it just tells you they didn't try to hack up the wires or do anything goofy. There's a fix to make that light go away, I just don't know what it is. Google is your friend, that's an easy kill.
As for the mirror thing, mines an '07 and the mirrors crapped out, so upgrading may not matter, but I like the later style mirrors so you may get a better look at least!
As for the water thing Synthetickiller speaks of--yeah, that's been worrysome for me. I had the deuce in Florida for three years and it seemed to rain all the time. I'd get in the truck with soggy carpets, siliconed the hell out my roof lights and it would be dry for a while, then it seemed the door seal leaked and needs replaced so the carpets were wet again. Then windshield replaced and installer put door rubber back in place wrong (easy fix) and it leaked again. When I left Florida I still had random wet carpet so glad to be in a dry climate here in Cal where things dried out and it doesn't rain enough to worry even if the whole interior gets soaked--it'll dry out.
Still a great truck with loads of memories per mile and absolutely nothing like it---puts a smile on my face every time I walk up to it because not every swinging dink has one (unlike a Heep).

Twin I'm not really sure how or who did the mod.. The error alert is still in the display

My air suspension went out about 6 months into owning the 2 so the bags were replaced with springs. The trick was to leave the air compressor still hooked up so that way it thinks it's pumping into the bags. The error code only turned on once right after installing the springs and haven't seen it since.

There is a relay by the firewall for the air ride. Sometimes pulling it clears it and then sometimes it doesn't.

If anyone knows a solid way of removing that code, mine comes on everytime I turn the truck on (all I have to do to get it off the screen is hit the control panel buttons for mileage, ect) but it shows back up as soon as I turn the truck off and back on!
