Hey guys, I am new here. I try to fit in building LEGO Hummer models to my college schedule. I have loved Hummers my entire life and hope to own one someday. All I own is a LEGO Hummer H1.

Al, the rifles in that thread.... were those the ones that you lost in that horrible boating accident that you told me about?

James, that's what happened to all of my guns and rifles too! Al and I were on the same fishing boat (we were also on our way to do some hunting once we were to arrive at our land destination but before we got there we lost everything in that horrific boating accident). If it wasn't for Al, who saved my life, I wouldn't be here today writing about it! :shifty:

Yeah, sorry about that...if you had posted some pics, we would have had something to look at and wouldn't have gotten distracted. :D

I got a LEGO Unimog for Christmas, once I'm done building and modding it, I want to try and build an H1.

I would love to have the unimog. It's a fantastic set! Just so you know, if the tire diameter is 3in, then you have the right height tires. If you go full studfull (think typical LEGO brick) then you are looking at a monster vehicle. If you go studless (exactly what the Unimog is), then it will be lighter. Check out two builders, Nico71 and Sariel for good tips on building trucks. Sariel is, uh, interesting considering he has tried his hand at Hummers. I personally don't like it, but hey, to each their own.

Give me about 15 mins and I will have some photos for you guys!

OK guys, here are the pictures! I will load the best three so I don't take up too much space on the thread.

When you build a one off or original project like that do you have to modify stock components to get the pieces you want to fit??
Great work.

Some do, but I didn't have to do that. All it takes is excellent research, being stubborn, and taking the time to build it right. I think that I have 30 revisions alone of the chassis. Time is the secret to building good car models. That simple.
