I thought I would make just a little introduction of Knight Metal Works and what and who we are. KMW is a small side gig I have opened up out of my shop. It is just me and my sons, 12, 11, and 7, and we just enjoy making stuff out of metal! We got started because when we did one of our own projects there were always people asking if we could "build one for them" or, "could you make one of these?" So, I decided, "Why not?" and filed the paper work and here we are. Maybe we can make enough to fund our wheeling trips or something!

At KMW we want to specialize in custom projects. Whether it is a custom bracket for mounting something to your 4x4, a storage box to fit in that particular spot, or just something no one out there makes. We also can extend beyond vehicle accessories.

We feature a CNC plasma cutting table with a cutting capacity up to 4'x4' and up to 1/2" thick steel. With this machine we can cut parts directly from DXF. CAD files. We can also design and create parts from your supplied drawings and dimensions. As well as parts, we can also create some amazing metal art and decor. We have the ability to take a hand drawing or photograph and convert it to a metal cutout. We can create custom metal signs for homes or businesses. Let your imagination run wild!

Here is a link to our still-under-construction website: www.knightmetalworks.com

Here are a few pictures of some of the things I can do with the CNC plasma table:

This is a crest I made for a buddy of mine. It is the crest for his unit with the 23rd Infantry 1st Batallion out of Fort Lewis. The rifle is to show scale. It is 4' top to bottom:

This was made from a photograph of H3slates truck. Before his roof rack!

I'll add more later... Now I gotta go to my day job!

The bench seat from my old truck got moved over to the "new" truck. Unfortunately the bolt spacing was longer in the '95 than the '90. I didn't want to do what the PO did and drill 1/4" holes in the cab and put nuts and washers in (yeah, 1/4" low-grade bolts with 2" stacks of washers as mounts for a seat...). I wanted it done right with the factory 5/8" bolts, so I sent Scarsman a message with a drawing with dimensions for a quote.

Correspondence was rapid and despite a minor complication, which he quickly corrected, he got the bracket to my doorstep in about a week and a half. Just got my bracket installed. It fit perfectly, no more rocking seat and it's better quality than the bracket the bench came with. Thanks Scarsman!
