Interior 'Courtesy' Door Light Remaining Lit

I've got an intermittent annoyance where the interior 'courtesy' light on the passenger door panel under the armrest (LAMP. Auxiliary Interior Lighting PN15021518) will occasionally stay lit after the door closes and the vehicle is in motion. This is the only light that is affected by the problem, all other door panel lights function as they should.

It only occurs once in a while, but enough to be annoying. If I stop, reach over, and open and close the door it usually goes out.

I haven't even begun to look into it yet, but thought I'd post up here to see if anyone else has encountered the same problem.

Thanks in advance.

Just taking a guess but, Is the switch bad or have a loose connection? (On that side)

The plan is to take a closer look this Friday while I'm off. The weird thing is, it doesn't matter if the door has been used recently or not. For instance, the door's been closed for the past 3-4 days but this morning on the way to work the light on that door stayed on after ignition.

I found some leads on things to check on other GM forums...I'll report back once I get it figured out.
