Hi all good Hummer folks,

Just introducing myself as a newbie to the forum. Drive an H3 2008, 3700cc, black with quite some chrome. Italy's a great country to live in (food, wine, culture, history, design, fine ladies), but the roads are giving our cars a heck of a beating. The smallest Hummer is actually quite popular over here, despite the European fuel cost, though most people in the city drive a tiny Fiat. Occasionally, you'll meet an H2 as well, but the city of Rome actually hasn't got roads wide enough for that one...

I also like to explore the mountain around (Abruzzo) as well as the coastline with my Hummer. It's a great car, and I hope to keep mine for a loooong time...

Cheers,
geonaut

Welcome, and yes, I agree that Italy is beaming with great food, wine, historial buildings, hillsides, the scenary, and to top it off, the culture and the people, were awesome and I agree that some of the roads were not built to handle large or oversize vehicle; it was a definitely a challenge manuevering a small RV camper.

What type of statistics? Main attributes are that we tend not to be the go along with the crowd types. Individualistic in nature, self reliant, conservative politically, strongly pro-military, into firearms, wheeling, camping or most any outdoor activity..... As to the owners themselves, actually very diverse. We have women, men, teenagers, oldsters, people from all over the country to many foreign countries, students to retired people, mechanics to Presidents of large companies, multiple ethnicities and despite all of our differences we are remarkably alike. We also tend to get along very well with each other.

Interesting summary. Above I was answering to a fellow European H4O member (from Liechtenstein) who was happy to have seen another member from the old continent. I ended up wondering how many Europeans there are here at H4O? Those were indeed the stats I was referring to...
