Does anyone know of a fix for the lightbar whistling when you get over 40? I did see a fix involving I think door trim but can't find it anywhere.

You mean roll the rig onto its roof? A little extreme but I guess that's one sure way of making the whistling lightbar issue go away. [emoji12]

well, that too - though I've found it hard to maintain a steady speed when on your roof.... not to mention the noises coming from the passengers that are, most times, louder the a lightbar whistle

with that said, I'd been suffering the noise for a long time, and saw on one of the stupid shows (extreme 4x4 iirc) that light bars whistle when installed upside down... bastard with the gel in his hair was right... and now I have to admit it here. I'm really developing a dislike for you - next you'll be whining about no 4x4 pictures; won't you?

pictures... here's how I fixed the issue the first time

silicone between the vanes... note there isn't a wire harness on this side

this was the whistle position - note the wire coming out of the top of the light bar on the passenger side?

you can just see the wire coming out of the bottom of the light bar on the driver's side in this picture

yeah, I know it sounds like a joke - but it's true; they just forgot to mention that bit in the instructions....

Mount a 2x4 in front of the light bar. This will block the wind and cover the lite bar,so no one will see that you have one. Could someone pass the popcorn ?:corn:

I went with the silicone on both sides no noise or whistling.

I guess keeping it under 40 wasn't going to be a reasonable fix.

The rubber door trim worked for me, be sure its the plastic base, rubber flap one though, not the one with the brush like hairy bit. That doesn't work as well.
