I haven't made my own brackets yet ha I've only had the bar for a couple hours now, but I will be making my own brackets yes. In these pictures it's just sitting on the roof and powered with alligator clips.

Made it from scratch. A couple sq ft of 1/2" MDF, a couple tubes of epoxy adhesive, even a couple of aluminum TIG rods to create the arches, a couple yards of fiberglass and 2 quarts of resin, a quart of kitty hair filler, about 3 quarts of bondo plastic body filler (most of which was block sanded off ha.) a few coats of gelcoat and lots of wet sanding made this:

What you are looking at in the first picture is a few layers of gelcoat and fiberglass to create a negative mold of the white part. Everything is curing right now. When I get this mold done I need to create another plug that has the hole cut out for the LED bar, then make another 2-piece negative mold off of that and then I can produce these for people who want them. They will be complete and ready to bolt in an Offroad LED Bars 20" bar. I may also make a version that will bolt in RIGID bars too, both of which will come completely ready to bolt on, no mods necessary.

Still kinda in a limbo stage with OLB, by the time I get the other molds done, I'd say about two weeks until I can start selling them. I have a full time job, but I am spending every spare minute on these parts.

I really don't like the oem fake good vent (I have the regular one tho) that's why u want to upgrade it to the HMMWV hood grill I think it would look better as well it will be functional rather than just for looks...only thing holding me back is the $350 stamp price on one...I do t quite justify that price right now, that I still have a handful mod list that are priority.

Yeah I could come up with somethin to let the air circulate out. It would be a couple projects down the list though.


Right now I'm finishing a custom diamond-plate aluminum trapezoidal toolbox for the tongue of an A-frame trailer, then after that I have an all-aluminum rooftop tent rack to build for a Frontier bed, then back to the hood pod, then tube doors and etc.
