I'm running the THOR Parts antenna mount, and due to the lack of space in our H3's I'm going to use the Cobra 75 all in one unit. I loved my bearcat 880 in my Jeep, but it's just to large for inside the H3.

Velcro your mount to the dash broad it'll always be in front of you so no hunting it down at night. Cable was some mil stuff from amazon 30 feet so I would have more then enough into a new hole in the firewall.

-Uniden BEARCAT 980SSB CB Radio
-Pyramid NS12 12 Amp InLine Noise Suppressor
-FireStik 4 Foot Antenna
-Molded Antenna Side Mount
-Firestik SS-3H Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Antenna Spring
-Daystar -Daystar Firewall Boot

I myself also have the Cobra 75 and 4ft Firestick and mounted on the driverside rear bumper like Diggles. I bolted my connector next to my steerin colume and ran my CB wire and zipped tied it next to the side of the center console. From there, I just tuck it in between the seat and console w/ the screen facin the seat. Its always out of the way and hidden. When I'm wheelin, I just set it in the console.
Also, if you want to keep it simple. A small handheld CB will work just fine. Good luck

I have mine pretty much like that. Only difference is I have the PTT next to steering wheel with an auxiliary speaker behind my head, on top of my headrest.

I just have a handheld cb that plugs into the cig outlet. I was talking to CJ the other day, much easier to just get a bunch of 2 ways and use those, it's not like we're all going to be miles and miles away from each other on the trail haha

Just a suggestion here.... You don't need the spring in that situation... The antenna will flex enough. It'll flex enough to hit the tire or the top of the rear door. A good idea since it will hit the truck is to go buy a pack of racquet balls. Drill a hole in one and slip it down the antenna where it'll act as a bumper to protect the paint. And you'll want to put an swr meter on it to tune your antenna so you don't fry your radio.

Nice and simple, fine work you've done there. Tune the antenna and if you know what freq your going to use set it on that on and you should have the most bang for the buck 5 freq up and down, I have mine on 20 so I should be good all around.
