How well do those rubber pieces fold and unfold without popping apart and sliding all over?

So I have opened and closed it a few times now and It doesn't seem to be much of an issue, but time will tell if I need to take modify the setup or not

I'm seriously considering a roof-topper as I'll have two vehicles that it would work on (the Land Rover too).... my wife didn't say "NO"... so it's a possibilility

Yeah, surprised the heck out of me to not have to sell my wife on it. I think a lot of set up and tear down and fiddling with air matresses last year did the job for me. Looking forward to remote camping in comfort this year.

So this weekend I was hoping to get more done then I did... needed to be able to work outside for most of what I wanted to do.... the snow and wind said NO... so all I got installed and checked off of my list was one of the steering bracket fixes.

I drove a bit after the install and it seems to have made a big difference on the mount of "feeling" that come from the road to the steering wheel, pot holes, bumps, cracks seem to get absorbed by the suspension like they are supposed to and hardly any of that energy comes through the steering column to me

So with that said I expect it to be worth while for on the trail as well!

Just getting an alignment this afternoon then I'll really go out and test her!

This is the kit I used, they had the best shipping rate to Canada by a long shot so it made the choice easy... I didn't install the other bushings that came wiht the kit as mine looked and felt brand new! now I have spare parts if it ever breaks down and needs replacement.

The shop doing the alignment just called and said my truck is ready to go and that the truck had 2* too much toe, which is a lot I understand.

That up at lunch and then that's one more project to strike out as done!!

What did you do to instal the bracket? I too am planning to instal just the bracket and was wondering if the diff will need to be dropped or is there enough space to do it without...

With the Rancho lift installed I had more than enough room to do everything I needed.

The kit I had came with instructions that I found really easy to follow, just did as they said

When you do make sure to notch the crossmember before it even goes on to your rig!

I ordered the same one and going to install it with the lift. The T is going to feel like a different animal.

So I scored a tool box for the box if by T, it's not the one made for the T, but it will certainly do and it was only $30!!! so can't really go wrong!

It basically is the same height as the bedf rails and it is about 5" short of being the full length of the box and basically it's half the width of the box.

Since the took box is 52" long I am going to have to make my own sliders out of skateboard bearings. But I am hoping to make two separate half's that pull out the length of the box for easy access to storage of items at the rear of the box.

Here is a pic of just the box, it's a big sucker!

Then here is a pic with the storage boxes that will go on the other side of it on a separate slider

The plan is to put cooking and food related supplies on the right and then larger bulky items in the bigger tool box to the left. I'll have dividers in there so less used items are going to be placed to the rear in the tool box like recovery gear and tools and eventually it will house the second battery and perhaps a ARB twin compressor setup. Then lawn chairs and other items towards the front

I started out today checked to see if the SuperWinch would fit on the winch mount base... After some fandangeling I got it to work out...

Then I decided to try and see if it would fit on the frame rails and if it had enough clearance with some of the supercharger equipment.... It did no prob.... So then I decided to spend an extra hour or so and finish up the install

I have to pick up some cables to finish up the electrical connections for the solenoid relocation, get the right sizes bolt for the Fairhead mount (figure the size and pitch as it's already been threaded) then I can test it out!!

Picking up cables for the Solenoid extension tonight, then its date night with the GF so I hope to get the rest of this installed Wed/Thursday then test it out on the weekend!!
