gotta go in from the fender well?

Yep gotta remove the wheel well and all of those plastic plugs break on you so take one out first and go get about 20 from NAPA to reinstall. I just used 194 LED'S from O'Riely auto parts for those lights since they do not sit in a large reflector housing.

If you want to really upgrade the fogs, you can run 9005 bulbs if you upgrade the harness too. I upgraded mine last week but I also made a new harness with some high temp pigtails from Oreilly auto parts and some 14ga wire with a separate relay. Still triggered from the factory button too. I went with a cheap bulb to still have the yellow of the fog lights and they really light up now.

Is this just due to more current running to the bulb or something??

yep, the 65 watt 9005's pull more juice than the 37 watt H10's did. That could cause a meltdown of the factory harness. Since I do use my fogs on country roads around here and its simple to make the harness I figured WTH and done it right the first time.
