Got my shackels on today. Also got a start on my painting and applying the HUMMER decals on all my light covers... I start by sandin/scuffing off the brand logo with 400 grit sand paper and then clean the surface with wax and grease remover and proceed with 4-5 light coats of your desired color. After your paint is dry and no longer tacky you are ok to apply your decals make sure you press put any air bubbles out make sure you keep the surface clean. If surface is clean you can apply your clear coat.i like clear coating over the decal for added protection and it wont just peel off later on

Looks awesome with the custom Hummer light covers. I like original ideas like that. You should color match your grill.

I would personally do white, because black is the common thing to do. It would make the brush guard and light stand out better. Plus it looks soooo good on a white H3. More than in any other color.

With all the gear you have on the front I like the look of a black or Gray that matches the front plastics over a white grill.

Here are a couple renderings to help you decide.

Id get 2 cans. I have a white grill that i got off of craigslist a while back that im probably going to put on next week too. I feel that the white grill gives it character, especially if you already have a black brushguard and other black accessories up front.

I think 2 cans would be the minimum. There's more area than you think, plus you'll need to do a couple coats.

You going black or white?

I didn't know that they could do that! There aren't any O'Reilleys around here to my knowledge...

I'd say let us know how it turns out, but I know you will.
