Who here is running one? I've had one on now for about 3 weeks and its the loudest intake I have ever owned. To the point, where I'm considering taking it off. Anyone else have this issue?

Me neither. I put it on the same time I put my ported throttle body on and noticed a huge difference in throttle response with the two... I run an afe pro dry filter and its great. The only noise I had was the airbox vibrating. I didn't put the rubber inlet on the replace the factory plastic one that goes through the fender. Once I put the rubber one that came with the kit on, its been rattle free.

I don't have one, but when you put the Air Doc on, did you also remove the stock resonator box from the top of the engine at the same time? When removing that box, there was a noise increase for me with my K&N FIPK. If the box was already removed, then maybe things weren't tight and the tube has come off?

Yes the Air Doc doesn't utilize the resonator box. It's loud as all hell in the cabin now.

I checked everything and its bolted down tight. It isn't my first go around with a intake. Actually, this was the easiest set up I ever installed on a vehicle.

Everything runs normal. Its just annoying loud.

So, I checked it out again today, after work. Seems like my air box was a tad bit loose. I tightened it up a much as I can and it helped some. Not quite as loud but tolerable. Thank for the suggestions guys.

Since you no longer have the "accordion" couplers connecting the airbox to the motor, there's a lot more engine vibration transferred through the airdoc pipe and couplings. I was on the path of thinking the noise was coming from my belt tensioner. With the engine running I went up and pushed around on the airbox in different spots... That's when I found the stock inlet going into the fender was making the noise. I pitched the new inlet that came with the airdoc so I had to get another one. Once I put that in, the airbox has quit rattling altogether.

Is The Air Doc a faulty product ?

Faulty product? How do you come up with that? Many people here are running them and no issues what so ever. I have had mine for three years and no problems. A tad louder, but so is my exhaust too. Isn't that what radios are for anyways?

AirDoc is a great product. The noises tend to be as described: extra engine noise because as 4speed puts it, we have tractor engines in the I5 H3s :); there's no sound deadening on the hood; the intake into the fenderwell can make noise. Keep in mind that the engine moves around a bit and the OEM setup has give in it to accomodate that movement; you need to do the same at the fender with that boot.

AFE Pro dry filter. Have been using it for 4 years now with no issues. Easy to clean.

Sent from my XT1080 using Tapataint

I wouldn't say it faulty but at idle its loud as a tractor. I tightened the bolts, probably tighter than the need to be and it did bring the noise down a tad but its still loud. Honestly, its tolerable right now, but I think I'm going back to a OEM set up. Only reason I went with the Air Doc is b/c my resonator box had a crack in it and was making my check engine light come on.

Make sure the pipe is spaced correctly between the air box and throttle body. If its pushed all the way to one side or the other, the metal pipe will not be isolated by the couplings and will be vibrating against a solid surface.

Thanks for he suggestion. I did check I again when I tightened down the bolt some more. Everything looks good.

How can I get my hands on a ported TB for my H3? Could you buy it or did you have to machine in yourself and replace the butterfly?

Also, were there gains other than throttle response?
