My bump stops (jounce stops) are done. 100K+ miles. Time for a new set. (Shocks are coming off too.)

There's 3 options & I have no clue what the pro/cons are for them.

1. Buy the stock bump stops
2. Some aftermarket version.
3. King/Fox bump stop (won't fit without modification, but it's fun to dream!)

I'm guessing I should just replace the rear bump stops as well?

I wouldn't worry about the rear ones unless they are falling apart. They don't see contact unless you are stuffing the rear. The fronts are not just bump stops, but an active part of the suspension. They are in contact all the time and are progressive in their cushioning.

Where you get em and how much please? I'm at 106k and prob need do same. Shocks still good? Thanks

I had an 03 for 120k+ and never needed them. I believe the guy who owned this one (just a guess) worked in the oil fields & pulled off the side of the road a LOT. Everything on driver's side is messed up, but the passenger side looks good.

I'm only replacing both b/c I want both sides to have equal ride quality. h

I ordered them on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/271794277466?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I will receive them tomorrow.

Thanks. They look & re solid.
I doubt the previous owner pushed the rear axel at all.

Well, the bump stops came in.
By the time I got home, it was too late to install them. I'll get on this tomorrow.

Quick question guys.
Do I need loctite?

No need for loctite of any kind. Just torque the nut to 22 lb ft and make sure to fit the alignment tab in the bump stop alignment hole.

Are those the "Z71" upgraded bumps you purchased?

I was thinking of ordering these ones:

The ones you linked are the same ones that Synthetickiller posted, but your link they are making a killing and nowhere in that link states OEM??

Just order 2 of these and you will save money. The GM Part#15835667 is the "upgraded" bump stop

I finally installed them & took the H2 for a test drive.

Do they make a difference?
You're damn right they make a difference! I was shocked. I'm usually let down by claims people make about products, but the benefits are tremendous.
Even the bump stop that was not rotted out was significantly compressed.
I'll post pics later.
