H3 A little present from me, to me on Father's Day.

I picked up a set of black door handles and mirror caps a couple of days ago and they arrived on Saturday. It got all kinds of wet right about the time I finished doing errands, so I wasn't able to install them yesterday. Today was another story. I picked up some Plasti Dip and made a day out of dechroming most of my H3. I swapped out the door handles and mirror caps and then dipped my chrome gas cover and all of my emblems.

Here are some pics of my progress so far. Still need to do the wheels.

Don't mean to hijack my own thread, but if you look in the 3rd pic, you can see that the plastic piece at the bottom of the mirror is missing. Does anybody have a part number or something that I can use to find a replacement part?

Mine is missing the same piece, i haven't located a part number yet, i think your best bet is a wrecked 3. It looks nice btw good jib!

If you have black and you want chrome I'm pretty sure you can find someone to swap with you.

I just bought the regular black Plasti Dip. It's a flat black, but you can add a glossifier if you want it to be shiny. The mirror caps were purchased, along with the handles, from a user on another forum.

The door handles are super easy to take off. You don't even have to take the door panel off. You just have to make sure you don't drop the bolt down in to the door. I found it strange that there wasn't a guide for this in the how to section, considering how common this mod is.

The handles are super easy, like a two minute job each to swap them out.

If its really that easy and someone wants to swap Im all for it. I thought you had to take the door panels off.

Yea, get them wheels blacked out. In my book , bright red and black go real good together. Victory red was my first choice but the only alpha in stock was blue.
