my buddy’s dad in a TJ will be out there. His dad (buddy’s grandpa) is getting older and they want to do a Moab trip again as they did years ago. If I go he will probably tag along.

I will be probably moving in April/May but work is taking care of that...I should have a definite answer in the next few weeks but I want to make it!!!!

I may try to make it back out. The last couple times I tried work got in the way. If I tow the H3 is there a place to park a truck and trailer? I guess I should see if there are rooms available.

That would be great if you could make it! It's been a few years.

Check with Neo for parking since the Outpost is pretty much an empty lot now.

If I was bringing the Scorpion I would definitely do Pritchett. The 92 hasn't been on a trail in 2 years and I am not sure who would come along. Would be nice to have someone that could get me out if needed.

I think Chris' H3 might now have the cojones to pull an H1 with his build, the 6.2, etc. Or just pull a longer trailer and bring both!

oh yea man no problem at all, tons of room if anyone else needs to park trailers extra rigs whatever...

Started prepping the Scorpion and the H1 for Moab. H1: Oil and filter change, Transfer case fluid changed, new air filter and all other fluids checked and topped off. Still need to lube, check ball joints, tie rods, radius rods, etc
Scorpion: looking for rear air suspension leak( no joy ) Changed air compressor, switches, tightened fittings, etc. Fluids are next

Alex I traded my big trailer for a smaller one. It will only fit one vehicle. With 24 hours on the road to get to Moab I want my buddy driver available to spell me, not in her own truck towing something else.

Yeah, two towing rigs to Moab would certainly not be a good trip. You're lucky to have JJ and have her as comfortable as she is driving with a loaded trailer.

Those of you staying until Friday 4/26, will you be doing trails that Friday? I'll be in Moab from 4/26-4/28, unfortunately couldnt take work off any earlier to join for black sheep week

We usually leave Friday AM but sometimes run a trail on Friday before leaving.

Getting closer to making the trip down happen. Both my wife and my boss told me to go and for the whole week too, so I'm going to try to get down there. I probably will just end up camping at Neo's, though I might bum a shower or two off the more civilized folks. If the weather is nice I'll do tent camping, if it's like it's been the last couple of years then I'll sleep in the truck.

Not a lot to do to get the Alpha ready, need to get the fluids changed/checked, put the UCP back on, and that's pretty much it, everything else is just gravy.

Only thing that would keep me from coming now is if we have to deal with selling the house at the time, but we haven't even listed it yet so it probably won't be an issue.
