Hello.
I had posted earlier with questions concerning tires, size, etc... Well I took first steps towards my goal. I want a more aggressive looking Hummer H3. Thats why they were made, correct? Well this weekend we lifted the truck almost 3 inches in front ans 1 inch in back. Its level now and ready for NEW TIRES! Do I go 33 inch or 35? Do I keep original rims or get new ones? We also installed a new stereo, its actually really great! But noticed that my two front speakers in the doors are blown.. LOL, So gonna order a couple new ones this week. Here are a few pictures of our work so far.... Peace

Agree with everybody else, I'd go 35's with that much lift... (33's are a little better on gas but 35's just make the H3 look more complete.) And wheels are a personal opinion thing, some go aftermarket... Other save their money, for trail spare parts) and reuse the stock wheels... either way works and looks good imo.

So the vote is unanimous go 35
I got 33s when I first got my truck and didn't even let the tread wear halfway down then bought 35s you'll regret it if you go 33s

Yep. I am 99% sure going with 35... Now for tire make? I looked at the Hankook MT and liked them. But I love the Goodyear Wrangler MTR with Kevlar! More money though? I guess it depends on if I get some rims or not? I like the factory rims, but I saw this video of this guy with a H3 with 20 inch rims and some 35 inch tires.. LOOKED SICK AS HELL....

It depends on what your going to do with the your H3. If you plan on wheeling you might want to stay away from the 20" as you will bang them up a bit. I would stick with the stock wheel or bump up to a 17 with 35's. The Kevlar sidewall tires are great if you plan on using them in heavy rocks. If not any good mud tire will do the job if you plan on doing normal off-road.

If you're after pure looks a 20 inch wheel/tire with the nitto mud grappler tire looks great.

Stopped to talk to tire dealer. He wants me to buy rims. Said the 315/75/16 will wear bad on my stock rims? He also showed me a hankook and a Toyo mud tires... I like the Toyo, but not sure? Not sure about rims either? I dont go 4 wheeling much, but I want a very aggressive look..

Man his lying, I call bs, my MTRZ are wearing just fine and there are plenty of reviews on them starting hat they wear uneven and poorly, so far rotate them every 4,000 miles have works great for me, and here are plenty of guys running the 315/75/16 no problem. He just wants a buck out of you, however if you also on the market for rims them go for it, but don't let his "advice" of the 315"s wearing bad on your stock rims influence you.

Toyo MTR 315/75/16

The Toyo is an E rated tire, but flex surprisingly well aired down. For towing, they are excellent. Wearing very well too.

My second choice were Cooper discovers. Heard nothing but great stuff. I've seen them rock crawl well
