I is amazing that the Hamster is capable of taking such steep side slopes without tipping over!

yea I am thinking the same...Was there a noticeable difference when other 2's went through?

I wanna hit 2N17X again and compare from last time I went...I know I will lean but pucker will hit me before I get to the point serge got to in the picture.

I was the second one to go through that section. After watching Craig get hung up, I went way left through the bushes and shrubs :whaa:

We will be running 2N17X very soon, watch for the post

My first set of springs were shipped out and reached the shop friday morning. The engineers/designers are going to look at my springs and give us an answer to why they are sagging. Should have an answer this week.

As for now its been a pavement princess for the past 1 1/2 months. :( I am dying to get on some dirt!

EDIT:well it has seen some dirt but nothing like a real trail run :gaah:

Ask them if they think the bottom leaf is too long? I figure you mean Deaver?
Here is that shot you wanted of a Cherokee with 4 inch lift and 31 inch tires next to my H3 with torsions at 23 1/2 and 35 inch tires.

UPDATE: tim and I talked today. Rancho said if they continue to send the same springs they will continue to do the same thing so they are ditching those springs and designing HD springs! What a great company to take care of us even when hummer went under. Most companies would leave us to come up with a solution....atleast they care. So tim said I have two options, get the credit back and put on deavers or get rancho HD springs and hope they work. Whatcha think? Either way I feel that's its cool they are making new HD springs. People for years used bandaid solutions and now between tim and I we may have a permanent fix! :D

That's freaking sweet!! If my double add-a-leaf solution doesn't work, I may look into these as a replacement for the TC stuff. JEALOUS! Good to hear Rancho is doing something proactive.

One thing to consider, what is the time frame of when they come out with their hd springs?

Glad you asked!

This is where the predicament comes into play. The rancho springs would be shipped out by the first week in march. Moab is a possibility but if I have issues then I may be screwed...I wanna give rancho a chance as they are doing all this for us but at the same time if I have the same problem then I will have to wait and hope deaver could get done in time. I still wouldnt have much time to break em in and test em.

A plus side to deaver is that I can get them around the last week of February and seeing its a custom application they do the install and make all adjustments in house, test drive it and go. One concern about deaver is getting the spring rates right to match the front. I trust them but still its a concern. Not sure what to do, I also wonder if I dont go ranchos route will they continue through with the HD springs for future customers. I wanna make sure I can get this problem solved for guys in the future via deaver or rancho. Just not sure which way to go...

It will be a while. But, down the road, I for one would be interested in the Rancho HD springs.

The complete kit would be nice, instead of having to deal with two different companies. I havent made a decision yet, if I go the deaver route I just wanna make sure that they will continue the HD rancho springs for guys in the future. I am sure HD springs will be great for guys with H3 that arent obese like mine...or they may even be good for squeaky, only time will tell.

Squeaky is an obese H3, thats for sure...

I agree with Zach.

I'd go with the Rancho HD springs provided the ETA is good enough because then you're able to test a production solution. They might even name the springs after you. ... ... ... or maybe not. Who wants springs named squeaky?

UPDATE #4? 5? Not sure, lol.

I spoke to Tim today and made a decision. If time wasnt an issue I would get the rancho springs, but with moab around the corner it is...If ranchos HD springs didnt work out then I would be screwed for moab. Deavers are going on the hummer. I made sure to see the future of rancho springs for other folks. Rancho isnt sending out any sets of leaves from the batch that I got mine from. They will be bringing in new ones...

I will be credited the money for the springs then get the deavers. I am kinda scared but I know these will solve the sagging. As part of the deal I will head over early on a day when I am free and he is done building them and they will install them set the ride height and test drive em. He promised me these will ride nice and I will be "stoked" according to Jim. I will take his word for it seeing he did a set for a rancho lifted 3 in the past (dont know who or where he is) and for rod hall. If all goes as planned I will leave his shop without having to mess with anything else.

Also, I have never seen a head on shot from a rancho rig next to a stock one. I have seen shots of the back, sides at angles but never head on so here it is! I searched for weeks and couldnt find an H3 backed into a spot with a spot open next to it. This H3 is on 32's non leveled completely stock. I wish it had atleast 33's and leveled but I can get shots of those in the future at a socal event. Here you go!
