This is one of the things I can do with my CNC cutting table. The truck was made from a photograph of H3slate's truck. The rock outcropping it is parked on I drew, based on a random image from the Moab area.

Here is the wall hanging:

And here is the photo it came from:

If anyone has any interest in something like this, let me know. I would just need a picture of your truck from your favorite angle. And wording can be anything you want, or nothing at all. The image can easily be incorporated as a sign with your last name, your house numbers, welcome, etc. etc.

DESCRIPTION:

The one pictured here is 14" wide, and we'll call one like this the "base model." The "base model" would include your truck and the motto of your choice, name, or house number. They are currently done with a hammered finish paint. By the end of summer I plan to be set up to powder coat, and they would then be powder coated.

PRICE:

Truck w/motto, name, or numbers: $70 shipped

With key hooks: $75 shipped

These can be customized in about any way you can imagine, so contact me for any specific ideas you might have. They make great gifts, too!

This looks awesome! I have an engraving in crystal of my Hummer which looks really nice with the light behind, that shines through.

Wow, that was fast! I hope it's all you hoped for. I tried really hard to get some detail into the rack, since that's what defines the silhouette image as YOUR truck.

Pure awsomeness!

Scarsman, that is amazing! Only thing is that Craig's truck has four tires planted on the ground. Definitely not the norm for him lately. Lol. Great work though, might need to get one of my 2

May I ask what software you are using to edit the images? Are you converting them to vector images?

Sure! We use Adobe Flash CS4 Professional to make a vector image, and then save it as a DXF file, which I can then import directly into my cutting program.

I've got a naked picture of my wife I want to have done..........

I'll give it a shot! Just have to kick the kids out of the shop first!

I haven't tried people yet, clothed or naked, but here is one I just did from a pic of a friend's bull mastif puppy. Its part of a picture frame I'm making her as a gift. I'll post a pic of it once I finish it.

Scarsman that is awesome. You are very talented. How long does it typically take you to make a cut out?

Well, it depends on the detail and size of the cut out. Smaller ones can take more time because I have to ensure that no lines are too close together so that they "burn together" and make one big line, for exapmle. The actual cutting of the part is the fast easy part. That dog probably took 1.5-2 minutes to cut. The time is in the drawing and finishing. Something like cbetts' cut out takes probably about 2-3 hours do do from scratch. The cool part though, is the more things I do I have "parts" that I can use later. For example, the bluff cbetts' truck is parked on. I can use that in something else as I have it saved, kind of like clip art. And now I have a puppy!
