Oh you know it, I've been easy on her and went 20 gallons of fuel I'm getting 16 miles a gallon. I don't know if it's because I've had electrical steering last two years but the steering wheel feels like it's dragging so hard on at those speeds.

Yea that and remember its awd with 4:10 gears. Thats called balanced hp lol. Mine does it to.

Made it back home at 0500, couldn't sleep so I started to work on the T. 4K miles in 4 days for her was well worth it and I'm glad this forum helped me find a new Hummer when I didn't even know I was looking for one. :giggle::giggle::giggle:

On my way up to the Hummer I was able to drive thru Moab Utah and my god did it look amazing. I learned two things, first I want to live in Utah one day and even looking up military base in the state or near it to PCS to after Korea. Second is I want to hit Moab one day and see what I'm made off but the T has a long way before that.

First thing I want is a Gobi rack and install my 40" light bar back up there. Bunch of time on the drive I was wishing I had more light and I'm glad I have my R.I. bar. I'm so damn happy to have this Hummer and I got the feels when I parked it in the drive way. Had to take a step back and couldn't believe I really went up there and got it.

OK so let's talk about fuel, it's a Hummer so MPG was the last thing on our mind but I did my best on keeping the fuel cost down. I planed the trip cost of $500 with 4 fill ups on the Canyon and 6 with the T, I'm happy to say I came in under budget at $450 lol. Had 5 fill ups with the Hummer and each fill up was high $40.

Rather then running the Hummer to empty I would fill up at the quarter of a tank and that would get me 320ish miles out of 20 gallons. It was hit or miss but I was between 15-17 MPG.

The V8 and the base are night and day. I remember Buttercup being a slouch off the line and forget about passing anyone on the highway, the V8 picks up a hell a lot faster and couldn't believe how smooth it felt. Only thing is, to me it feels like I have 37 inch tires when it come to steering a low speeds. I'm getting use to it but been looking at the whole front end to make sure nothing is wrong.

I have one small issue and one big one with the Hummer, small one is the leather sits are a bit on the dry side but I can take care of that. The big one is the rear axle has a class II leak, I thought it was from the diff cover but looking closer the axle pinion seal might be the reason but I need to take a better look at it. The wife has the Hummer right now because she missed it also lol.

The Hummer will be place in storage status next month for my 12 month PCS to Korea but just knowing I own one again is all I need.:cheers:

Nice dude. Yea mine has just the driveshaft seal leaking. Not a big deal to fix

Colorado, didn't want to see the same thing twice plus I visitedFort Carson a for little bit and got most of my military decals.

One more thing, anyone know where I can get a real wheels roof light bar that's less than $500?

Jeez $500! Thats crazy! You could buy a cheap conduit bender, conduit, and fab up something for the bracket for probably under $200.

I went even cheaper, free99 lol. Sure glad I kept this bar!!!
